With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Geghan! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Strickland. Geghan does a little dance to reset his feet. Strickland dodges the punch combination from Geghan.
Strickland lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. We've been told by Strickland's head coaches at Banzai Combat Academy LA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Strickland thows a left - swing and a miss! Strickland throws a big shot that misses. Geghan swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Strickland gets cracked there but stands up to it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Strickland dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Geghan. That did some damage! Strickland jabbing away but nothing is landing. Geghan let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Strickland uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Geghan.

Geghan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Strickland tries to get to full guard but Geghan has control of the leg. Geghan is looking to take a break and control but Strickland is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Geghan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Strickland wants to get back to full guard.

Strickland avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Geghan. Geghan thows a huge punch but Strickland dodges it nicely.

Strickland wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Geghan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Geghan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Strickland looks a forlorn figure.

That was a close round but I would say that Deangelo Strickland will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dandrakulo throws a sloppy head kick and Chase moves out of range easily. Chase throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dandrakulo tried to counter with a leg kick but Chase avoided it. We've been told by Dandrakulo's head coaches at Tran MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Chase throws a sloppy head kick and Dandrakulo moves out of range easily. Chase throws a jab when Dandrakulo was well out of range. Dandrakulo lands a head kick.
