The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Grant.
Grant throws a leg kick but McGee moved away.
Grant throws a solid leg kick but McGee takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Grant.
McGee checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Grant motions for McGee to come forward. Grant throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Grant throws a sloppy head kick and McGee moves out of range easily.
We've been told by Grant's head coaches at BANZAI COMBAT ACADEMY TOKYO that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Grant tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McGee is able to avoid easily.
McGee throws out a counter right but Grant avoids it with no problem.
McGee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

McGee gets in close and instigates a clinch.

McGee has Grant pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McGee pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Grant tumbling to the mat - McGee dives into Grant's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grant is looking to cinch up a triangle. McGee throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Grant's body to avoid the submission. Grant has instead reached around McGee's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Grant arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
