The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machiels forces Aydin back against the cage and clinches.
Aydin tries to pull guard but Machiels holds him up against the cage and eventually Aydin drops back down to his feet.
Aydin lands a body shot in the clinch.

Aydin breaks from the clinch.
Aydin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Machiels darts in and clinches Aydin up against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Machiels just misses with a elbow thrown towards Aydin's brow.
Aydin fails to pull guard.
Aydin is trying to break the clinch but Machiels is controlling him.
We've been informed that Machiels has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've been hearing good reports from Aydin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
