The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sitsongrit there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Suriyan Sitsongrit has been cut.
Kamir moves out of range as Sitsongrit strikes.
Sitsongrit throws a hook but Kamir blocks it.
Kamir only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Sitsongrit misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sitsongrit takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sitsongrit throws a sloppy head kick and Kamir moves out of range easily.

and Kamir counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kamir lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sitsongrit will feel that in the morning.
Sitsongrit throws a nice head kick!
Kamir lands an overhand right.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

letting Kamir counter with a right hand.
Kamir punishes Sitsongrit's body with a nice straight punch.
Sitsongrit is breathing heavily.

Kamir sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Sitsongrit's defenses. It connects perfectly with Sitsongrit's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Dangle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mahoo!
Mahoo wants to control but Dangle postures up.
Dangle has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mahoo!
Mahoo throwing hammer fists to the chest of Dangle. What's that going to do exactly?
Dangle throwing strikes here but Mahoo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Dangle throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mahoo because Dangle loaded up on that one.
Mahoo tries to hold on but Dangle pushes him away.
Mahoo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mahoo wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mahoo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dangle prevents Mahoo from standing back up.
Dangle frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dangle throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Dangle looking to control but Mahoo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dangle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mahoo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Mahoo is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Mahoo is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Mahoo blocking the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dangle controlling his opponent.

Zhao scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Zhao is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Pineda's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zhao throws a strike aimed at the side of Pineda's head but Pineda avoids it well.
Pineda tries to improve position but can't.
You can see the frustration on Pineda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Pineda is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Zhao wants to control but Pineda is keeping him busy.
Pineda manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Zhao is looking to advance position but Pineda won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pineda.
Pineda throws a head kick that misses.

Zhao closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pineda's guard.
Pineda avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zhao sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Zhao won't allow Pineda to sweep him here.

Novak darts in and clinches Blaze up against the cage.

Novak successfully pulls guard.

Blaze avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Novak wants to get back to his feet but Blaze is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Blaze has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Novak is proving hard to escape from.
Blaze engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Novak wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Blaze manages to pass to side control.
Blaze missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Novak gets back to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blaze accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Novak wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Novak doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Novak working a defensive guard but Blaze passes into half guard.
Novak throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Blaze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Novak keeps working.
Blaze trying to control the pace.
Blaze throwing shots but Novak is blocking nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Blaze shoots in and gets a takedown into Novak's guard.
