The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draranoth throws a series of strikes that have Wickens backpedaling.

That kick from Wickens tenderised Draranoth's leg. Draranoth is trying to keep his angry face on.
Draranoth uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wickens.
Draranoth seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Wickens keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Draranoth ducks under a wild hook from Wickens.
Wickens thuds his right hand into Draranoth's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nick Wickens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wickens looks to land a left hand but Draranoth moved out of range nicely.
Draranoth darts in looking for a takedown but Wickens gets double underhooks and turns Draranoth into the cage.

Wickens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Draranoth shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wickens but Wickens pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wickens looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Draranoth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
