Sityodtong sends Boxer crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Sityodtong is motioning to the referee to let Boxer up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Neil misses the target.
Treadwell takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Treadwell shoots for a double leg takedown but Neil sprawls well. He's pushed Treadwell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Neil only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Treadwell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Neil pinned against the ropes. Neil gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Neil throws a sloppy head kick and Treadwell moves out of range easily.
Neil has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Neil there as he acknowledges the shot.
Treadwell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Treadwell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Neil tries to improve position but can't.
Neil is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Neil is not content to let Treadwell control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neil felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Neil is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Treadwell has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Treadwell throws a strike aimed at the side of Neil's head but Neil avoids it well.
Neil pushes Treadwell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Treadwell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neil is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Treadwell has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Treadwell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neil swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neil has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the ropes to get back to his feet. Treadwell has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the ropes.

Neil throws a jab but it's blocked by Treadwell.
Neil misses with a head kick.
Neil throws a hook but Treadwell blocks it.
Neil has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Treadwell finds it's way round the side to connect with Neil's head.

Vince Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neil clinches up with Treadwell and pushes him back against the ropes.
Treadwell scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Treadwell blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Neil gets through Treadwell's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Neil lands a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I was talking to Ky Jr's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ky Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
