We've been hearing reports that Viikate has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Haland lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Haland digs a good body shot into Viikate's ribs.

Haland pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Viikate was done - good stoppage!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Randelin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Randelin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Tzeng tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rutheford swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Tzeng tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rutheford just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tzeng jumps guard but Rutheford turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Tzeng fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shu Fang Tzeng. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tzeng has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rutheford uses from the top position.

Box comes into the arena with Vesterinen Yhtyeineen - Kaikki päättyy hyvin blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chubby Funster was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
