The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big misses with a series of wild punches.
Syndicate swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Big takes a swing at Syndicate's ribcage but misses.
Big tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Syndicate manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Big lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Big fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Syndicate takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Big swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Syndicate.
Big jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Syndicate closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Big did well to prevent Syndicate getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Big is looking for a sweep. Syndicate is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Maxwell (ranked 22089 p4p, 179 weight class) and Emilio Jacinto (ranked 3035 p4p, 118 weight class). Maxwell comes to the cage accompanied by One Punch Man Theme Song. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jacinto's choice of entrance music: Noypi by Bamboo. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Jacinto lands with a hook. Maxwell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Maxwell misses with a body punch

and Jacinto counters with a nice right hand that sends Maxwell toppling to the canvas! Maxwell scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Jacinto finish him?!

Maxwell is rocked!
Maxwell throws a hook to the side of Jacinto's head but Jacinto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oh Maxwell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jacinto darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Maxwell's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Jacinto before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

An out of breath Emilio Jacinto thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
