With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cameron Mathews!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickal throws a jab when Mathews was well out of range.
Mathews tries to land a front kick but Nickal steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Mathews closes the distance and pushes Nickal back into the cage.
Nickal manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Mathews is looking to stand back up but Nickal counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mathews.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mathews really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nickal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mathews tries to kick Nickal off but Nickal keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Nickal is looking to take a break and control but Mathews is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nickal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nickal connects with a nice short shot to Mathews's temple.
