The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azevedo moves into range and clinches up with Kadyrev.
Azevedo is trying to pull guard but Kadyrev has him pressed against the ropes.
Azevedo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kadyrev just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Kadyrev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Azevedo rushes Kadyrev and presses him up against the ropes.
Azevedo fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demian Azevedo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Azevedo jumps guard but Kadyrev turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
Azevedo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Kadyrev to keep the fight standing.

Kadyrev manages to break the clinch.

Kadyrev rushes Azevedo and presses him up against the ropes.
Kadyrev is trying to force a seperation but Azevedo has the dominant position.

Kadyrev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kadyrev manages to break the clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kadyrev!
No joy there for Kadyrev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Azevedo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kadyrev to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Azevedo wants to sweep here but Kadyrev controlling him for the moment.
Azevedo has a closed guard, preventing Kadyrev from standing up.

Azevedo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kadyrev's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Azevedo drops back looking for a leg! Kadyrev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kadyrev manages to kick Azevedo off! Azevedo jumps back into Kadyrev's guard.
Kadyrev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Azevedo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Azevedo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kadyrev's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Azevedo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kadyrev has managed to free his arm - good work.
Azevedo works his foot free and advances to mount.
Azevedo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Kadyrev is trying to escape the mount.
Azevedo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kadyrev because Azevedo loaded up on that one.

Poor strikes thrown by Azevedo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

In his post fight interview, Lucio De Sanchez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Garda throws a left and a right that both miss

and Croce counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Croce throws a big right hand that misses.
Croce trying to control the position from guard on top but Garda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Croce chips away with some ground and pound.
Garda wants to get back to his feet but Croce is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Croce postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Croce accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Garda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Oh Anderson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Anderson will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Positive! Anderson is out on his feet! Positive rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Anderson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Anderson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
