Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joao Pedro Mauricio DeSilva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a shot from downtown. DeSilva moves away and avoids it.
The fighters circling - Ryan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
DeSilva tries to counter with a takedown but Ryan is quick to defend against it.
Ryan lunges at DeSilva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by DeSilva's hand.
Jimmy Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ryan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ryan has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by DeSilva or perhaps it was just good defense by Ryan, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan throws out a leg kick but DeSilva moves out of range and Ryan only half commits.
DeSilva's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ryan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! DeSilva scrambles back to his feet.

DeSilva has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ryan.
Ryan bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
DeSilva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ryan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. DeSilva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
DeSilva shoots in for a takedown but Ryan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

DeSilva has control of Ryan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ryan regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Blixt jerks Damkratov's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Damkratov drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Blixt goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Blixt because Damkratov was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
