Yip Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man looks to score with a jab to the body but Godzilla is just out of range.
Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sloppy strikes from Man. Those never looked like landing.
Godzilla looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Godzilla on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Godzilla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close round but I would say that Vanilla Godzilla will probably get the nod.

Savage takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd cheers as Barra lands an impressive looking overhand right. Savage doesn't seem phased though.
Barra darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Savage is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barra sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Savage walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Barra lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Barra clobbers Savage with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Barra lands with an uppercut that bounces Savage off the cage and back into range.
Savage takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Barra's coach down at The Factory was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Barra's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Savage looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Pasquale Barra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Barra cracks Savage with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Moore manages to get his head free but now Truck has transitioned to an armbar! Moore grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Truck! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace moves into the clinch.
Wallace landing knees to the head.

It looks like Matthew Gates has been cut.

Wallace's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gates throws a head kick but Wallace moves out of range.

Wallace connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gates's face.
Gates tries to break free but Wallace pushes him back against the cage.

Wallace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gates wants to get up but he can't break Wallace's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Gates is fighting to break Wallace's control of his arms but Wallace is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Gates wants to get back to his feet but Wallace passes into half guard.
Gates tries to kick Wallace off in order to stand up. Wallace Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
A lull in the action here as Wallace stalls from top position.
Gates is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Gates looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Wallace lands a nice looking kick to the body. Gates takes a step back to recover.

Gates swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Wallace throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Gates pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Matthew Gates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wallace forces Gates back against the cage and clinches.
Wallace unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Wallace lands an elbow just above Gates 's eye.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wallace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gates takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice takedown defense from Gates. No joy for Wallace on that attempt.
Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss.
No joy there for Gates, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wallace takes the fight into the clinch.
Gates wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Wallace feints a jab promting Gates to slip. Wallace then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gates slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gates crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wallace - the referee stops the clock and Gates gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wallace. Gates manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Gates gets tackled into the cage by Wallace. Wallace maintains the clinch.

Wallace pulls guard effortlessly.
Wallace wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Wallace had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gates defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wallace trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

and Wallace counters with a left and a right that stings Gates.
Wallace tries to bum rush Gates with a series of wild strikes but Gates uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wallace clinches with his opponent.
Gates wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Wallace escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wallace plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Wallace lands a big right hand that sends Gates crashing to the mat! Wallace stays standing though and waves Gates back to his feet!

Gates is rocked!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wallace rushes Gates and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Gates is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wallace jerks Gates's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Gates drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Wallace goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Wallace because Gates was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
