Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fred Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gurel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jackson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fred Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Gurel, which made it look bad.
Gurel appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Gurel fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jackson connects with a leg kick. Gurel looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Gurel closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jackson quickly recovers to half guard.
Gurel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gurel is looking to advance position but Jackson won't allow it.

Gurel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gurel has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Gurel stalling away here and it's allowed Jackson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Fred Jackson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Jake Gurel spoke after the fight, saying 'You win some, you lose some. Today I lost. Tomorrow I will win. Its that simple'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craven throws a push kick but Diodor slaps the foot to one side.
Craven is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diodor.
Diodor takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Diodor unleashes a big counter combination but Craven bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Diodor misses with a takedown attempt - Craven sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Craven scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Craven works to advance to full mount. Diodor defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Craven content just to control the position here.
Diodor is bucking up trying to escape but Craven cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Craven is working for a guillotine from mount but Diodor frees his head quite easily.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Craven! Diodor is out on his feet! Craven rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Diodor is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Diodor is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

After the fight, Destin Craven was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Kim sets himself, and Barry steps forward looking for the clinch! Kim avoids it this time.

Kim throws a solid leg kick but Barry takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kim .
Kim walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Barry checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Barry has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kim .

Kim 's coaches at White's ELITE Fitness Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
