I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dennis Jones Jr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Xezeron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Clones Jr is fending him off so far but Xezeron persists. Nope, Clones Jr circles away and we're back to standing.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fritz Haarmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gab Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haarmann comes to the cage accompanied by Macabre - Fritz Haarmann The Butcher . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

so Haarmann counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Haarmann stopping the sweep attempt from Batista.
Batista utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Batista bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haarmann's guard.

Batista wants to control from the top but Haarmann keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haarmann has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Batista is sitting in close to Haarmann's body. Haarmann has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Batista is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Batista is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Haarmann.
