The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santoro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Luvi.
And Santoro tries to counter it with a takedown but Luvi pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Luvi digs a good hook to Santoro's body.

Santoro is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Santoro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Santoro feints the counter takedown.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Santoro crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Luvi - the referee stops the clock and Santoro gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Luvi. Santoro manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Santoro takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Santoro walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Santoro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Santoro's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

We've been hearing good reports from Luvi's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Santoro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Luvi is fending him off so far but Santoro persists. Nope, Luvi circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paul Luvi.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Luvi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tucker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A very excited looking J J Tucker rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
