11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adam Ash! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero tries to move into range but Ash moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ash has Romero up against the cage in a clinch.
Romero looking to throw knees to the head but Ash is blocking nicely.
Ash is trying to trip Romero. He has hold of a leg but Romero is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ash persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Romero is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Romero working for a triangle but Ash defends it easily.
Romero manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ash manages to get himself to full guard.
Ash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Romero content to stall in guard here. Ash is striking but Romero is not phased and passes to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Romero is looking to advance position but Ash won't allow it. Ash is trying to get back to full guard. Ash controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Romero looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romero is thwarting Ash's attempts to control the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Romero tries to pass to full mount but Ash defends it.

Ash is looking for a sweep. Romero is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ash looks to throw the jab but Romero is out of range. Ash doesn't manage to clinch there - Romero circles away.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Romero looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Romero slips a straight right by Ash. Ash has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Romero is landing a low percentage of strikes. Ash jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ash misses the jab. Ash misses with a looping right. Romero checks the leg kick. Ash tries to clinch up enabling Romero to counter with a crisp jab.
 It looks like Adam Ash has been cut. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ash throws a nice looking combination but Romero bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ash throws a shot to the body.
Ash swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Ash dominated that round. The cut man is working on Adam Ash's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Romero checks the leg kick. Nice uppercut there from Ash. Ash will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ash tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ash misses with a straight right. Ash pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Romero back to the cage. Ash follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
 It looks like Rodniel Romero has been cut. Romero moves in looking to clinch but Ash pushes him off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A clash of legs there as Romero blocks the low kick. Romero moves out of range as Ash strikes. Romero uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ash. Ash throws an off balance right hand
and Romero counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ash's knee momentarily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ash throws a big shot that misses. The fight stays on the outside here - Ash looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ash misses with the combination.
Romero fails to land with a series of punches.
A lazy left from Ash finds it's target. Ash misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ash looks to land a left hand but Romero moved out of range nicely. Ash throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Romero sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ash throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rodniel Romero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ash swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Romero. Ash throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ash's corner calls for a 1-2. Ash obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Romero tried to score with a low kick but Ash checks it. Ash throws an overhand right that lands on Romero's shoulder, as Romero tries to avoid the shot. Ash throws a lazy uppercut
and Romero counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Romero keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ash. Ash throws a body shot but no joy. Ash swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Romero counters with a lovely straight right hand! Romero slips a jab from Ash. Romero takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ash tries to bum rush Romero with a series of wild strikes but Romero uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ash throws a shot from downtown. Romero moves away and avoids it. Ash lands a nice looking body shot.

and Romero counters with a lovely shot to the body. Adam Ash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ash throws a sloppy head kick and Romero moves out of range easily. Ash lands with a nice combination. Romero backs away looking to recover. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Romero moves out of range of the strikes. Ash lands with a shot to the body. Ash tries to clinch up but Romero circles away and keeps his distance. Ash ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Romero moves away. Ash moves in looking to clinch but Romero pushes him off. Ash throws the left hand but Romero avoids the punch easily. Romero tries to clinch and Ash counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ash throws a hook to the side of Romero's head but Romero sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ash misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Adam Ash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Ash misses with a hook. Ash thuds a left hand into Romero's body. Ash throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Romero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ash scores with a shot to the body.

Ash moves into the clinch. Ash has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Romero tries to land a knee to the head but Ash blocks with his arms.

Ash cracks Romero with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A looping hook to the body misses from Ash. Romero does a little dance to reset his feet. A right-left combo lands from Romero.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Romero with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ash to score with a decent uppercut. Donk. Ash catches Romero right on the button with a cross.

Romero misses with a knee to the head. Ash misses with a hook from the clinch. Romero trying to control the position but instead, Ash has worked for underhooks and has pushed Romero into the cage. Romero misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ash.

Ash fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Romero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Adam Ash is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ash tries to break the clinch but Romero is controlling the position. Ash misses with a shot to the kidneys.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hero is looking to clinch. Hero tries to clinch up but Nohara circles away and keeps his distance. Hero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nohara.
Nohara shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Nohara seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hero does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nohara prevents Hero from standing back up.

We've been told by Hero's head coaches at Sun Ra and his Arkestra's training camp that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Nohara throws a leg kick which misses Hero's front leg but catches the back leg as Hero tries to avoid it.
Hero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hero tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nohara's elbow. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hero. Nohara is looking to control Hero's arms but Hero gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nohara has his back to the cage. Nohara misses with a punch to the body.
Nohara tries to break the clinch but Hero is controlling the position. Hero throws a punch but it's blocked by Nohara. Nohara is struggling to control the position.

Nohara jumps guard but Hero stands there with Nohara around his waist. Nohara gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nohara wants to control from the top but Hero keeps moving. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nohara might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hero haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiro Nohara dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nohara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hero pinned against the cage. Hero gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nohara circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nohara avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Nohara has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nohara is defended easily by Hero. The crowd cheers as Hero lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nohara doesn't seem phased though. A solid leg kick lands there for Hero.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hero as Nohara tries to tie him up. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nohara creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hero tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Nohara has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hero avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Canadian Hero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiro Nohara. Nohara is looking to control Hero's arms but Hero gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nohara has his back to the cage. Hero gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Nohara.

Hero lands with a nice body punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hero walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Nohara checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hero tries to clinch up. Nohara shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hero but Hero pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hero feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nohara's calf. Hero dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nohara. That did some damage! Canadian Hero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hero throws a push kick but Nohara slaps the foot to one side. Nohara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hero scores with a jab to the body. Hero lands a right hook to the body.

Canadian Hero dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Hero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nohara circles away quickly and effectively. Hero will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Hero is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Nohara pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hero is keeping the position for now. Nohara wants to control from the top but Hero keeps moving. Nohara passes easily into side control. Nice work. An elbow from Nohara crashes against the mat.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nohara looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hero is avoiding damage well.
Nohara prevents Hero from escaping the position. Nohara wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hero keeps working. Hero is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nohara asserts his dominance and retains side control.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hero tries to close the distance and clinch but Nohara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hero explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Hero lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hero shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nohara eats them both and turns towards Hero to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Nohara takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero looks to clinch
and Nohara counters by clinching up. Hero is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Still in the clinch, Hero scores with a nice short uppercut. Nohara tries a body shot but Hero blocks it.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gomes in his tracks. Gomes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gomes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Gomes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards. Brown tries a head kick but it misses.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chim lands a slapping body shot.
Chim lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
 It looks like Jon Irenicus has been cut. Irenicus takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Chim finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Irenicus jabs Chim right on the nose. Chim blinks but takes it well. Chim getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Chim checks the leg kick nicely there.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Irenicus thows a left - swing and a miss! Chim fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Irenicus manages to avoid it. Chim ducks under a wild hook from Irenicus. Chim looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Chim takes a swing at Irenicus's ribcage but misses. Irenicus lands with a straight right. Chim didn't see that one coming. Irenicus with a jab. Irenicus looks to throw the jab but Chim is out of range. Irenicus swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Chim. Irenicus has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Chim. Irenicus lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Chim keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chim throws a low kick but Irenicus moves out of range easily. Danga de danga de dang - Chim scores with a four punch combination! Irenicus tests Chim's chin there with a solid looking shot. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jon Irenicus will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A head kick by Chim misses and Irenicus counters with a nice low kick that buckles Chim's knee momentarily. Irenicus clobbers Chim with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. An inside leg kick lands from Chim. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Irenicus, right into the meat.
Chim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chim attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Irenicus, as that shot connected.
Chim dips to his left and cracks Irenicus with an uppercut! A head kick from Chim lands but Irenicus takes it in his stride. Irenicus on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
 Irenicus is rocked! Chim connects with a superb combination that knocks Irenicus out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Chim before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Irenicus!
