Conger comes to the cage accompanied by Tyler The Creator - Domo23. Aksornpan has chosen Thai National Anthem - "Phleng Chat Thai" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Alak Aksornpan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aksornpan darts in and clinches Conger up against the cage.
Conger drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aksornpan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Conger gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Aksornpan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Aksornpan gets underhooks to prevent Conger's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Conger. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Conger is trying to trip Aksornpan. He has hold of a leg but Aksornpan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Conger persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Conger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aksornpan tries to avoid it but Conger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aksornpan to the ground. Aksornpan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Still in half guard, Aksornpan seems content to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aksornpan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Aksornpan lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Conger goes down and covers up as Aksornpan starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Alak Aksornpan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Li is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Taite is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
