The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kampmann lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Eel circles away quickly and effectively.
Kampmann fails with an attempt to clinch.
Eel tries to close the distance and clinch but Kampmann swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kampmann lands with a hook. Eel tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kampmann connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Eel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Eel.
A shot to the liver by Kampmann. Beautiful body shot.
Eel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kampmann's waist but Kampmann gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eel off to one side.
Kampmann works the jab nicely.
Kampmann feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Eel sprawling to the canvas! Eel rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kampmann finish him?!
Eel is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kampmann is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Eel hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
