Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Caio The Python! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thumbo Plights! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plights rushes The Python and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The Python taking a breather. The Python is fighting off a takedown attempt but Plights is just too persistent for him and manages to trip The Python to the mat. The Python regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Plights must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The Python has his foot on Plights's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Plights works his way back into a safe position though. Plights trying to control the position from guard on top but The Python is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The Python is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Plights is fighting to break The Python's control of his arms but The Python is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Plights trying to control but The Python is working from the bottom. The Python throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The Python has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Plights should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, The Python has tightened it up now! Plights should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Job misses with a combination
and Bebo counters with a lovely shot to the body. Job tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bebo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Job tries to clinch and Bebo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Job is looking to clinch. Job misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slow jab from Bebo misses its intended target. Bebo thuds a left hand into Job's body. Bebo thows a left - swing and a miss! Job tries to clinch but Bebo is having none of it. Job takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Job misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Anita Job seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bebo throws a body punch but Job moves out of range. Job lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bebo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bebo works over Job's head and body with a nice combination. A telegraphed right hand from Bebo misses the target. Job throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Job looks to land a combination. Bebo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Bebo cracks a nice hook into Job's ribs. Bebo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Job fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bebo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Bebo connects with a single shot there. Bebo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Job was well out of range. Poor timing from Bebo. Bebo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Job misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bebo swats away the attempt to clinch by Job. Job tries to clinch up but Bebo circles away and keeps his distance. Job bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bebo keeps the fight on the outside. Job checks a leg kick nicely. Job tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bebo counters with a lovely shot to the body. Bebo throws a wild body kick that Job sees coming a mile off. Job dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bebo. That did some damage! Job misses with a low kick as Bebo jumps back. Sloppy strikes from Bebo. Those never looked like landing. Job wants to clinch and Bebo counters with a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bebo throws a jab when Job was well out of range. A shot to the liver by Bebo. Beautiful body shot. Bebo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Job takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Job uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bebo. Bebo throws a sloppy head kick and Job moves out of range easily. Job moves out of range as Bebo strikes. Job tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bebo paws at him with a jab and circles away. A jab lands there for Bebo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Job throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bebo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Job circles away quickly and effectively. Bebo throws a low kick but Job avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Anita Job will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Job fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bebo manages to avoid it. Job throws a series of punches but Bebo moves out of range. Bebo blocks a head kick by Job.
Job ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bebo moves away. Anita Job seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bebo checks the leg kick. Bebo scores with a shot to the body.
Bebo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Job tries to clinch there but Bebo circles away.
Job throws a combination that misses and Bebo counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bebo misses with the combination.

Job is breathing heavily. Bebo throws a nice looking combination but Job bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Job tries to bum rush Bebo with a series of wild strikes but Bebo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Job tries to clinch enabling Bebo to counter with a crisp jab. Bebo missing with a left hand there. Job was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bebo misses with a body shot.

Job wants to clinch up but Bebo keeps it at a distance. Job is looking to clinch. Anita Job is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bebo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bebo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Bebo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Bebo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Job to score with a decent uppercut. Job fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Job throws a right hand that Bebo ducks under and follows up with a left that Bebo also avoids with ease. Bebo throws a body punch but Job moves out of range. No joy there for Job, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Job moves to clinch but Bebo breaks away enabling Bebo to counter with a crisp jab. Job has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Job lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Job takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Job keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A shot to the body from Bebo misses and Job counters with a thumping low kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bebo misses with a series of wild punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sangorrin shoots and misses and Favaro counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sangorrin thinking. Favaro pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Sangorrin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Favaro backs up against the cage.
Sangorrin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sloppy strikes there by Sangorrin. Favaro manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sangorrin is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Favaro reverses the position - he's now on top in Sangorrin's guard. Favaro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Favaro's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Favaro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Favaro landing some decent shots from guard. Sangorrin trying to control the position.
Sangorrin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Favaro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sangorrin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Favaro pushing down on Sangorrin's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sangorrin is not content to let Favaro control the position. Favaro thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Favaro is thwarting Sangorrin's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Favaro drops an elbow to the side of Sangorrin's head. Favaro is trying to control. Sangorrin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Favaro passes to full mount! Favaro raining down hammerfists from mount. Favaro connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Favaro with the ground and pound from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sangorrin can't escape the position.

Sangorrin is rocked! Favaro postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Sangorrin out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Favaro goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Chiba throws an overhand right that lands on Lawrence's shoulder, as Lawrence tries to avoid the shot. Chiba lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Lawrence lands a nice looking body shot.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. A head punch blocked on the inside by Lawrence. Lawrence tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Chiba's elbow. Lawrence is pushing Chiba up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Chiba blocks a body shot from Lawrence. Lawrence lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Chiba. Chiba is breathing heavily.

Gadzilla felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Pantic looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruth tries to keep at a distance but Mercer has taken the fight into the clinch. Kruth is trying to force a seperation but Mercer has the dominant position. Kruth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kruth rushes Mercer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mercer is trying to pull guard but Kruth turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Mercer breaks from the clinch.
Mercer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kruth, pushing him back against the cage. Kruth gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mercer regains guard.

Kruth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mercer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kruth is looking to advance position but Mercer won't allow it. Kruth is working hard here to advance position. Kruth stalling.

Mercer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kruth uses from the top position. Kruth sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mercer's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kruth is working for a submission of some sort.

Kruth perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kruth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mercer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kruth is nestled in close to Mercer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Mercer is looking for a sweep. Kruth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kruth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mercer on the ground. Mercer is staying active underneath Kruth, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brojna Kruth will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rousey has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pajaanen. Pajaanen is looking to chop away at Rousey's legs. Pajaanen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rousey avoids the head kick by Pajaanen.
Rousey stuffs the takedown. Rousey should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Pajaanen tries to sprawl but Rousey drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Pajaanen trying to control but Rousey postures up.
Pajaanen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rousey on the ground. Pajaanen wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Royce Rousey was stalling too much, according to the referee. Pajaanen throws a front kick that sends Rousey stumbling back into the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pajaanen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Royce Rousey dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pajaanen scores with a head kick. Rousey tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Pajaanen throws a sloppy head kick and Rousey moves out of range easily. Pajaanen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rousey's waist but Rousey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pajaanen off to one side. No luck for Rousey with that takedown attempt. Rousey checks the leg kick nicely there.

Pajaanen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rousey has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rousey moves out of range of the leg kick from Pajaanen. Rousey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pajaanen throws a sloppy head kick and Rousey moves out of range easily. Pajaanen misses with a body kick. Rousey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pajaanen lands a high kick!

Rousey has hold of Pajaanen's hands but Pajaanen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Royce Rousey has got the better of the ground game so far. Rousey trying to hold on to Pajaanen's head to control him but Pajaanen postures up.
Pajaanen scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Pajaanen is thwarting Rousey's attempts to control the position. Nice strikes from Pajaanen there. Pajaanen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pajaanen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rousey with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rousey is rocked! Rousey on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rousey is still in real trouble! Can Pajaanen finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pajaanen lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Rousey! More strikes land and this one is all over! Pajaanen jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
