The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva lands a left and a right that send Hawla crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Silva tries to bum rush Hawla with a series of wild strikes but Hawla uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hawla closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hawla is working to tighten is grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hawla is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Hawla breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
