Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Gornev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Gornev.

Fedorov darts in and clinches Gornev up against the cage.

Fedorov gets control of Gornev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fedorov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Fedorov has his hands on Gornev's head, controlling the position.
Gornev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fedorov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gornev's guard.
Fedorov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fedorov wants to pass the guard but Gornev is keeping the position.
Gornev is looking to stand up but Fedorov isn't so interested in that idea.
Fedorov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gornev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Fedorov is really squeezing tight and eventually Gornev passes out! Fedorov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Luiz has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Glock regains guard immediately.

Sackett kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Whoomp There it is.
