The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
al Din throws a leg kick but Perry checks it.
al Din drops his hands momentarily and Perry takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Perry shoots in looking for a takedown. al Din tries to sprawl out of it but Perry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. al Din manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Taj al Din will probably get the nod.

al Din lands with a thumping leg kick.
Perry tries to close the distance and clinch up but al Din swats him away and circles back towards the center.
al Din waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Perry.

Perry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but al Din manages to avoid it.

This has been an exciting period of action!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Perry crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from al Din - the referee stops the clock and Perry gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says al Din. Perry manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Perry seems to have recovered his senses.
al Din keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
al Din pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Taj al Din clearly takes that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Perry might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, al Din has got the better of the exchanges.

Perry looks up at the clock. Bad move! al Din lands a right hand from hell, dropping Perry. al Din pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
