The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hendo gets in close and instigates a clinch.

A nice leg kick lands there from Allen.
Vittu misses with a series of wild punches.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vittu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vittu throws a hook but Allen blocks it.
Allen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vittu.
Vittu takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Allen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Allen is taking a breather. Vittu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Vittu tries to get to full guard but Allen has control of the leg.
