The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Botch walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ostruzik shoots in for a double leg but Botch sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ostruzik checks a low kick from Botch.
Ostruzik throws a right hand that Botch ducks under and follows up with a left that Botch also avoids with ease.

Botch has Ostruzik up against the cage in a clinch.

Ostruzik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Botch clinches.

Botch is trying to trip Ostruzik. He has hold of a leg but Ostruzik is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Botch persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Botch throws a strike but Ostruzik rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Banan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Connors stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Banan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Connors is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Banan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Connors sprawling to the canvas! Connors rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Banan finish him?!
Banan drops Connors with a straight right hand, right on the button! Banan follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tolek Banan! Tolek Banan retains his lightweight title!
A very excited looking Tolek Banan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
