Hopo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tanner was covering up waiting for the punch and Hopo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hopo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hopo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hopo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tanner is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hopo connects with a decent elbow.

Tanner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hopo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tanner is working away from the top position though.

Hopo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Tanner frees his head nicely. Oh but Hopo has switched to an armbar! Tanner is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
