The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon throws a right hand that Marcello ducks under and follows up with a left that Marcello also avoids with ease.

Marcello drives through and clinches with Gordon against the cage.
Gordon can't find room to land a body shot as Marcello controls the action.

Gordon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marcello is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gordon to the mat. Gordon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Marcello stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gordon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gordon is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gordon is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Marcello couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominickoy Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doctor Frankenstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is bleed it out. Doctor Frankenstein told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
