Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skyler Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has chosen One as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leroy Morris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Skyler Nelson! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morris looks to land a combination but Nelson avoids it well. Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morris swats him away and circles back towards the center. Decent striking displayed by Morris there. Nelson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morris, pushing him back against the cage. Nelson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nelson manages to end up in side control. Nelson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. You can see the frustration on Morris's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morris bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! A left and a right from Morris both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Skyler Nelson has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Morris.
Morris throws a right and a left that both miss. Morris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nelson was covering up waiting for the punch and Morris finishes the takedown easily into guard. Morris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Leroy Morris wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morris swats him away and circles back towards the center. Morris misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nelson looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nelson moves into the clinch. Nelson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Morris.
Morris is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nelson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Morris just stands there and leans against the cage. Morris tries for a takedown. No joy.

Nelson is trying to control the position but Morris postures up. Morris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Leroy Morris wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nelson slips a jab and a cross from Morris.
Nelson walks into a left hand. Morris throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nelson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nelson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Morris is looking to stand up but Nelson isn't so interested in that idea. Nelson wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morris is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Nelson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morris's waist but Morris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nelson off to one side. Morris misses with the combination.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Morris throws a series of punches but Nelson moves out of range. A big left from Morris misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Nelson. Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown but Morris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nelson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Leroy Morris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skyler Nelson. A nice combination there by Morris.
Leroy Morris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A combination from Morris does no damage. Nelson is breathing heavily. Morris fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Morris gets a double leg takedown into Nelson's guard. Nelson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Morris stands up from Nelson's guard - Morris perhaps looking for a knockout. Some wild striking there from Morris.
Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Morris rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nelson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Morris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Morris thuds his right hand into Nelson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Nelson throws a right and a left that Morris avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Morris pinned against the cage. Morris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Morris swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nelson. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Morris is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nelson's half guard. Morris sitting and controlling from the half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Morris seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nelson for as long as he can get away with.

Morris follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Nelson to the canvas! Morris pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Nelson has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bader throws a right and a left that Hunt avoids nicely. Hunt takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bader will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bader has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hunt. Bader throws a series of punches but Hunt avoids them all with ease. Hunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bader manages to avoid it. Hunt closes the distance and clinches. Hunt looking to throw knees to the head but Bader is blocking nicely.
Hunt lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bader backwards. The referee is keeping an eye on Hunt - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Bader makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Bader lands a right hand. Hunt lands a left hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Still in the clinch, Hunt scores with a nice short uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Hunt. Bader taking a breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bader jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hunt walks away with a smile on his face. Bader gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ken Bader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunt scores with a spinning back kick! Bader throws a right hand that Hunt ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunt also avoids with ease. Bader walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hunt. Hunt buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hunt moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Bader connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hunt's hands. This has been an exciting period of action! Bader gets tackled into the cage by Hunt. Hunt maintains the clinch. Hunt breaks from the clinch.
Hunt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hunt lands with a nice body punch. Bader misses with a wild body shot. Hunt lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Ken Bader has been cut. Hunt moves into range and clinches up with Bader. Bader fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bader tries to circle away but Hunt has him pinned against the cage. Hunt lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bader backwards. Hunt stalling the fight.

Hunt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A right hook to the body lands for Hunt.

Hunt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hunt lands a glancing blow to the side of Bader's head. Hunt takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hunt is looking to slow Bader down with leg kicks. Bader clinches up with Hunt and pushes him back against the cage. Hunt lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bader. Bader's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Hunt with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Hunt scores with a nice hook to the head. Hunt lands a hook that snaps the head of Bader backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A head punch on the inside from Bader fails to land. Hunt gets through Bader's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Hunt. Hunt working some nice short punches in the clinch. Hunt lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bader backwards. Bader wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hunt stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Bader's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Bader is trying to break the clinch but Hunt is controlling him. Hunt lands an uppercut. Hunt throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Baders head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bader is looking to break free of the clinch but Hunt has double underhooks. Hunt lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hunt lands a knee to the head.
Hunt keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bader's efforts to push away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phol Hunt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ken Bader's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bader scores with a nice strike. Bader takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Bader takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bader throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bader throws the left hand but Hunt avoids the punch easily. Hunt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bader.

Bader throws a hook to the side of Hunt's head but Hunt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hunt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bader. That did some damage! Hunt has Bader up against the cage in a clinch.

Hunt lands an uppercut. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hunt takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Phol Hunt seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Hunt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Hunt lands with a short head shot on the inside. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunt just leaning against Bader, taking a breather. Hunt lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bader backwards. Bader avoiding damage as Hunt throws knees to the body.

Stelios pushes Paska up against the cage in a clinch. Stelios is trying to trip Paska. He has hold of a leg but Paska is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Stelios persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Stelios sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Paska doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Stelios paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Paska - great work!

Brooker misses with a takedown attempt and Ortiz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ortiz. Ortiz looking to sit in guard and control but Brooker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ortiz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brooker is controlling him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brooker trying to control but Ortiz is working from the bottom. Ortiz wants to stand up but Brooker is controlling him. Brooker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Brooker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ortiz wants to get back to his feet but Brooker is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brooker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ortiz trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Ortiz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brooker on the ground. Brooker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ortiz wants to stand but Brooker is controlling the position. Brooker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ortiz is wriggling around but Brooker manages to pass to half guard.

Brooker lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brooker passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ortiz! This has been an exciting period of action! Brooker with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ortiz's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Ortiz is breathing heavily. Brooker landing punches. Brooker landing punches. Ortiz wants to get back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir tries to score a power double leg takedown but Leonov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mir somewhat. Leonov lands with a hook. Mir tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Leonov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Leonov swivels and escapes. Leonov throws a head kick but Mir moves out of range.
Leonov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Mir looking for submissions off his back. Leonov is trying to control the action in half guard but Mir is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Leonov uses his free foot to push down on Mir's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mir. Leonov controlling the pace for now. Mir wants to hold on but Leonov pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Vadim Leonov wasn't active enough on the ground. Leonov scores with a hook to the body. Mir takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mir. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leonov lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leonov thows a body shot but no joy. Mir takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Mir is breathing heavily. Mir closes the distance and clinches up with Leonov, looking for a takedown. Mir pushes Leonov against the cage but Leonov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mir tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Leonov's corner calls for a 1-2. Leonov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Leonov digs a good hook to Mir's body.
Leonov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mir rather than just go for the knockout. Leonov throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Mir stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Leonov follows into mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Leonov controlling from mount. Oh Mir is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! It looks like Leonov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mir seems to have got his legs back now.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Vadim Leonov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mir takes a head kick and keeps coming.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mir is looking to reverse the position. Leonov decides to stand back up. Leonov steps back and let's Mir get back to his feet. Leonov drives through with a takedown into guard. Leonov stands up from Mir's guard - Leonov perhaps looking for a knockout. Leonov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mir sprawls well initially but Leonov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Leonov wants to pass to mount but Mir is defending the position. Leonov wants to stand but Mir has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mir has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Leonov. Oh but Mir has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Leonov goes limp - he's gone! Mir jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

It looks like Balig Murska has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hartmann takes a swing at Murska's ribcage but misses. Murska scores with the left hand. Hartmann knows he should have avoided that one. Hartmann fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
