The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson stalks Rathman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rathman's face. Rathman staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Tom Rathman has been cut.

Thompson sends Rathman crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Thompson is motioning to the referee to let Rathman up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
