The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliott tries to clinch but MacManus moves out of range.
Elliott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. MacManus tries to avoid it but Elliott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag MacManus to the ground. MacManus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
MacManus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Elliott.

Elliott decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
MacManus won't allow Elliott to pass to mount.
MacManus tries to get to full guard but Elliott has control of the leg.
MacManus trying to hold on to Elliott's head to control him but Elliott postures up.
MacManus misses with some strikes from the bottom.
MacManus tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
MacManus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Elliott is working away from the top position though.

MacManus looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
MacManus is looking for a sweep. Elliott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Elliott closes the distance and clinches up with MacManus, looking for a takedown. Elliott pushes MacManus against the cage but MacManus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Elliott throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around MacManus's waist but MacManus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Elliott off to one side.

and Elliott counters by clinching up.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paolo Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Last Song. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Gontier shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gontier was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gontier is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mercy can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gontier forces the positional change into back control.

Gontier is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mercy trying to control the position but Gontier manages to sink in the hooks.
Mercy turns into Gontier and is now in his guard.
Gontier keeping full guard, as Mercy tries to pass.
Gontier wants to sweep but no luck.

Gontier has his foot on Mercy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mercy works his way back into a safe position though.

Mercy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gontier has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mercy is looking to defend but Gontier has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mercy! Gontier pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mercy taps out and this one is all over!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Howard Beale.
Well Pound has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roque moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nice takedown defense from Lynch. No joy for Roque on that attempt.
Lynch throws a right and a left that both miss.
Roque shoots for a takedown but Lynch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Roque moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lynch uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Roque has time to react.
Roque shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lynch sprawls well. Lynch wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roque gets slowly back to his feet.
Gerald Lynch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vitor Roque.
Lynch drops Roque with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Roque! Lynch dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh, another knee lands and Aguayo is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Aguayo doesn't seem to be complaining.
