Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Shiraishi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jordan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jordan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Minimoto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Van is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Minimoto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Van's back instead.
Van is trying to get back to his feet but Minimoto has full control of the position and if anything, Van has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Minimoto is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Van is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Minimoto gets his way!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Minimoto closes the distance and clinches up with Van, looking for a takedown. Minimoto pushes Van against the cage but Van circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

It's a brutal combination of punches from Minimoto! Van is backing up but he can't get away as Minimoto lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Van and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between tee baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Seeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). baker comes into the arena with dethklok blaring out of the sound system. tee baker had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Jeremy Seeland told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
