The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flores closes the distance and clinches.
White is trying to break the clinch but Flores has him pressed against the cage.

Flores pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Roddy White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White avoids the head kick by Flores.
White swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Flores fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with White, pushing him back against the cage.

Flores breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flores misses with a head kick.
White avoids the head kick by Flores.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! White crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Flores - the referee stops the clock and White gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Flores. White manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
White throws a right hand that Flores ducks under and follows up with a left that Flores also avoids with ease.

Flores has managed to clinch.
White takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Roddy White has been cut.
White stops a takedown attempt from Flores.

Flores has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics White uses from the top position.

Flores is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! White rolls with it to try and escape but Flores cranks on the arm and White is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Blanchard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Blanchard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sagat knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blanchard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sagat, who protects the arm well.

Blanchard is working to tighten is grip on Sagat's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sagat has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Blanchard is really squeezing tight and eventually Sagat passes out! Blanchard breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Rodrigues Nogueiro could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Harper has hold of one of Rodrigues Nogueiro's legs. Rodrigues Nogueiro is fighting the takedown attempt but Harper gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
