The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
potkukelkka tries to close the distance and clinch but Hughes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hughes shoots in but potkukelkka avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No luck for Hughes with that takedown attempt.
potkukelkka misses with a head kick.
potkukelkka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kiilopaa has instead reached around Perkele's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kiilopaa arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Lare throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Monsterson.
Monsterson throws out a leg kick but Lare moves out of range and Monsterson only half commits.
Lare throws a hook but Monsterson avoids it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lare.
Lare lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Monsterson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lare.
Lare throws a right hand that Monsterson ducks under and follows up with a left that Monsterson also avoids with ease.

Monsterson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lare is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Monsterson.

Lare throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Monsterson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Monsterson wants it to stay on the feet.

Hernandez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hernandez takes a swing at Some's ribcage but misses.

Some shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hernandez napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hernandez is trying to buck Some off.
Some tries to advance to mount but Hernandez denies him.

Some is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hernandez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Some taking a breather here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Some is working to tighten is grip on Hernandez's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hernandez has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Some is really squeezing tight and eventually Hernandez passes out! Some breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Fukamachi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Name's waist but Name gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fukamachi off to one side.

No Name has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sho Fukamachi.
Name throws a nice looking combination but Fukamachi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fukamachi moves out of range of the body kick.
Fukamachi doesn't manage to clinch there - Name circles away.

and Fukamachi counters with a shoot takedown. Name fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Name is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Fukamachi dives into side control.
Name really is a fat lump.
Fukamachi prevents Name from escaping the position.
Fukamachi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Name to see if he's OK.

Name is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fukamachi asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Fukamachi has hold of Name's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Name tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Fukamachi cranks the arm and Name screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Name, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Loman connects with a nice short shot to Patton's temple.

Loman is looking to advance position but Patton won't allow it.
Patton is looking for a sweep. Loman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Loman wants to free his trapped foot but Patton is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Loman tries to pass to full mount but Patton defends it.
Patton wants to improve his position but Loman is controlling well.

Loman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Patton defends it well.
