Welcome ladies and gents. This is what you have all been waiting for... UPF 3: Warriors Vengence review along with predictions by me, Dale Saw. So, what are we waiting for? Let's get it on...

UPF 3: Warriors Vengence takes place on Saturday October 10th 2012 at Hayashi's Lounge in Hilo HI. And, here are the match-up and the way I see them going... LOL...   Fight 10 - Garett Potter (0-2-0) vs. Tim Jacobs (0-0-0) Potter has had a couple of fights. But, has not been able to score a "W" quite yet. Does he have what it takes to get his first win against Tim Jacobs or can Jacobs use his bjj skills to make Potter say "Uncle?" My prediction is.. Well if Potter can keep this fight on his feet he should take this one. But, if it goes to the ground I would say Tim Should takes it. Seeing that I don't think Potter has what it takes to keep this on standing I put my prediction with Jacobs in the second round by way of armbar.    Fight 9 - Greg Williams (0-0-0) Vs Bubba Kush (0-1-0) I think this fight will be almost identical to fight 10. Except, Williams takes Jacobs place and Kush takes Potters place. Williams has the superior bjj and wrestling skills but is lacking ing the stand-up. And, Kush Has the superior stand-up. But, not by much. This one should be close. I predict Williams makes Kush tap in the third round.    Fight 8 - Pete Mercury (0-0-0) Vs De Anthony Thomas (0-1-0) DeAnthony Thomas has the better stand up out of the two. But, Mercury has the bjj skill to back him up. Does Mercury wanna stand and bang with the higher skilled boxer?  Is Thomas's takedown skill high enough to avoid Mercurys ground game? This one really could go either way. DeAnthony comes in to this one with a losing record and I think when we are done he will be back to even. And, Mercury will walk away with a "L." I do not think he will finish him though. I predict a unanimous decision for Thomas.   Fight 7 - Michael Messner (1-0-0) Vs Frankie Edgar (0-1-0) This fight looks to come to Boxing Vs. Muay Thai. In his first and only professional fight Frankie lost at 3:59 of the third round by decision to Mason Thomas. Edgar was pretty much dominated the whole fight by his opponent. And in Messner's debut fight against Adanez Ferrodenes was a very close fight and overall Michael Messner came out on top with a unanimous decision. I think that Messner can and probably will take this one and early too... Messner in the first round by KO...   Fight 6 - Mason Thomas (1-0-0) Vs Fabolous Fjodor (0-0-0) Thomas is a wrestler/mauy thai fighter and Fjodor is a wrestler/bjj fighter. I not only think that Fjodor will NOT be able to take this one to the ground given the fact Thomas is the better wrestler. And, I also believe that Thomas has the better stand-up and will come out with an easy victory.    Fight 5 - Brian Williams (1-0-0) Vs Greg Rapport (2-5-0) Rapport is more experienced fighter with wonderful wrestling. Williams is a Boxer with a blue belt in bjj. So I believe that if this one stays standing Williams will score a knockout. And, If Rapport decides to take him down, he only has a white belt in bjj, I think Williams will make him tap. So, either standing or on the ground I am going with Williams on this one.   Fight 4 - David Swain (1-0-0) Vs Chris Staehlin (1-0-0) This should be a great fight. Another boxer vs muay thai fight. Chris seemed to have gone for a lot of take downs in his debut fight against Staale Dal where Chris won a unanimous decision. I don't think he will be able to do that here. David has the better wrestling. David won his debut fight knocking out Isabella Fry in 1 min 05 seconds of the first round. And, I think he will KO Chris in the first round as well.   Fight 3 - Harry  Kalizhnikov (5-6-0) Vs Mike Hunt (1-2-0) Both fighters are all around good fighters. But, I think Kalizhnikov has been training a bit longer and I think it will make a big difference in this fight. I don't think that Hunt will be able to overcome his opponent. I think that Kalizhnikov will be the victor in this one.    Fight 2 - Jamie Hunter (3-0-0) Vs Rickson  Gracie (4-1-0) Co-Main Event Light Heavyweight Title fight Both fighters have all their wins by way of submission. Hunter has a purple belt and Gracie has a Brown. Hunter is also a wrestler and Gracie a boxer. I do believe that Hunter will be the first UPF Light Heavyweight Champion. Even though Gracie has the superior bjj. I think this one will go all five rounds and Hunter will get the unanimous decision.    Fight 1 - Jimothy Mazor (5-1-0) Vs Tony Brown (3-1-0) Main Event - Middleweight Belt Mazor is a knee throwing fool. Brown is a submission machine. Both fighters lost to the same fighter, Thomas Mayfield. Both fighters have won since that lost and regained their confidence and and ready to fight for the title at UPF 3: Warriors Vengence. I have to go with Mazor on this one because he has the superior wrestling and has shown great takedown defense in his past fights and don't think Brown will be able to take him down and utilize his bjj skill.    Overall I think that UPF 3: Warriors Vengence will be filled with exciting fights. I am sure even if my predictions are not correct that the fights will be amazing. I hope that you all enjoyed my predictions. Dale Saw
