Popping off this weekend at the Combate de Cima arena in Rio de Janeiro is
C240: Dracul vs Kahn III. The Combate card is filled with top tier talent from start to finish, with the main card featuring some of the world's very best fighters. Several fighters are the #1 ranked fighters in the world in their division. The fans are in for a treat when they're given not one, not two, but three title fights on the main card. If that isn't a reason alone to buy the PPV, I don't know what is. I guess you can stick to buying those measely WVT and DMMA PPV's that don't feature a single top fighter in the world.
The #1 featherweight in the world,
Cornelius Myers (31-14-0), defends his Combate championship against
Pauly Jurgensen Sanchez (19-6-0). Sanchez is riding a 3-fight win streak but will have his hands full, as Myers has been absolutely dominant at 145 since joining Combate. So dominant that he was ambitious enough to move up and challenge the Lightweight champion.
"Kung Fu Zombie" Bong Ji Woo (37-9-0) is considered the #1 P4P fighter on the planet by most Tycoon Media Outlets, and he is set to defend his championship against division rival
"Jolly" Johnny Billabong (26-10-2). With the series between these fighters at 2-1 in Bong Ji Woo's favor, we can assume that this might be Billabong's last chance at the lightweight strap as long as the South Korean remains the champion.
Beat a fighter once, you had the better night. Beat a fighter twice, you're the better fighter. Beat a fighter three times, and you're his daddy. That's exactly what
Radu "The Handsome" Dracul (28-6-0) is setting out to do when he takes on
"The Pitbull" Mohammed Kahn (43-13-1) for the third time. Kahn is a Combate legend who needs no introduction, but Dracul has emerged as one of the faces of the organization since joining Combate. He's 5-1 in the Combate Light Heavyweight division and already a 4-time champion. Dracul holds a 2-0 record against Kahn, and he's aiming to put the final nail in the coffin of the Pitbull's career.
