Blitzkrieg NY presents: BLITZ 134 Perilous

 The Note By: BrotherHec

Intro

I apologize for my absence…Lets get back to the good stuff. Fights, why we are here. This is a very important card for Blitz. It will set up some of the biggest fights in the coming part of the year. If you are a fan of Blitzkrieg like I am, get ready for this! I wont waste any more time…LETS GO!

Jafar Agrabah vs Mordecai Wollsey

It will be his first fight here in Blitzkrieg for the former Syn Champion, Jafar Agrabah. He looks to go against a very solid opponent in Mordecai Wollsey in the lightweight division. There is no doubt in my mind that the action will be pushed here when these two 155lbs fighters go at it. The Square Garden in NY will start the view of Blitz 134 with an epic collision of two lightweights desperately trying to climb the ranks of greatness.  Mordecai Wollsey currently holds a 2-1 record in Blitzkrieg with both of his victories coming by way of decision. He suffered his first loss in the prestigious org when he went against one of the toughest in the division, Bob Marley. It was the fourth time in his career where he lost through strikes. However five events later he would enter Blitzkrieg 131 Unholy Wrath and take on David Currie and winning through decision. Wollsey who no doubt wants to be recognized as the best in the world must now face the newcomer to the Org Jafar Agrabah. Its been long said that Jafar Agrabah is the evil villain in the classic movie Aladdin. This certainly may be true but as for any actual evidence we do not know. Jafar is a serious threat to the entire lightweight division. He possesses an arsenal of attacks, winning his fights by head kicks or submissions he is no doubt going to be a problem for Wollsey this Saturday night. The curse of the beginner! That’s what its usually known as, in Blitzkrieg most men who enter their fight for the org for the first time usually lose. It could be due to the craziest fans, the brightest lights, the best commentators, the greatest competition or just a stroke of bad luck. Whatever the case is Jafar has his work cut out for him if he wants to win his first match inside the cage. This fight will no doubt come down to whether or not Wollsey has the belief in himself to ride out the fight to the judges scorecards. Lets face it, Jafar wont get knockedout. It doesn’t happen. Mordecai can hurt him, and it is possible that he may knock him out but should that be the game plan? No! Will it? I doubt it. Mordecai has made it to Blitzkrieg by fighting smart. MY PREDICTION: Mordecai Wollsey will win this fight. He has fought in Blitzkrieg before and his past performance proved that he would be a threat to anyone he would fight in the upper division in the light weight.

Chuck Liddell vs Thomas Boothe

Chuck Liddell…Probably one of the greatest fighters under the Blitzkrieg contract now.  The 27 year old phenomenon is on a roll entering Blitzkrieg and knocking out all of his opponents. His first fight in Blitzkrieg? Oh yeah, that was a flying knee by the way. It earned him the $10,000 knockout of the night award. He is just chaotic in there in the cage punching people out. The question is can he knockout a man who has never been knocked out…EVER!? Thomas Boothe is literally the one guy who could end the winning streak of Chuck. He has knockout power, more experience, and has a solid chin as well. See the idea somewhere comes that both of these two guys are going to stand infront of each other and rade until the other just hits the floor. The referee will raise a hand and the ward for best knockout of the night will be given. Seriously though, if this fight wont be the fight of the night you better believe that it will be the knockout of the night! With the amount of force between these two from their headkicks to right hooks, someone will go down. It’s a key match up in the light heavyweight division. This match could really send either fighter in the spot they have really wanted for so long. If chuck liddell gets this fight, it will be six straight in Blitzkrieg. That is a journey only the champions and legends of the org have seemed to accomplish. That being said, its fair to assume that Liddell will be a future champion one day. Boothe has the opportunity of a lifetime here. He could stop the young assassin and show the world that he is ready for what ever Blitzkrieg could throw at him. Fighting on cards over and over again he is pushing himself to the limit. To throw it out there, Boothes last loss was the the Sauna Fights champion Lee Perry. So don’t go thinking he wont last long out there he has probably the best chance to win than anyone in the division. MY PREDICTION: Knockout of the Night. It will go to whoever implements there game better no doubt, a fight that seriously has all of us wondering who will win. Chuck Liddell will win this fight in my opinon. I wouldn’t be surprised if Boothe won it though.

Eli Williams vs Zeki Ata

Eli Williams versus Zeki Ata is one of the most profound matchups this card has to offer. Both of these fighters are fairly new to Blitzkrieg and both of them are undefeated within the org. What would be the best move then for Blitz? Pit the two fighters against each other. You may say, well how did both of these fighters get one of the top spots on the card? Lets take a look at that. First off, both Zeki and Eli had one fight in the org which they both took home one of those precious, “Of the Night Awards”. Zeki took home a fight of the night award while Eli took home a submission of the night award. Secondly, both of these fighters didn’t allow their opponents to see the judges scorecards finishing them both off quickly. Finally you have to look at the fighters as individuals to understand this part. Eli Williams, a former Syn fighter, left his former org after being offer the chance to take part in Blitzkrieg. No question about it he is doing a lot better here taking off fighting what many feel are the tougher opponents of Tycoon. Although he hasn’t held a title since he was in TTFC last year he has no doubt fought some tough champions and challengers along his way to becoming a Blitzkrieg fighter. With 14 of his 24 wins coming by way of knockout and 1 by submission, its safe to say he is now an all around versatile fighter. If he catches you sleeping he will take off on you and finish you quickly. Zeki Ata will welcome this challenge as he himself has been a very rewarded fighter. 19 of his 27 victories were by knockout as well.  That is a fantastic thing to be able to say for a fighter. Holding a Brown belt in BJJ and not losing one fight by submission its safe to say this fight wont be due to a submission. The Turkish fighter has no doubt experienced some of the best moments of his career with one punch knockouts, submitting an opponent through strikes and holding the SPFT title he is a very very dangerous man! MY PREDICTION: Im expecting a good ol fashioned knockout in this fight and I believe the one that will give it will be, Eli Williams. The Hometown fighter will be looking to please his crowd fighting in the most prestigious org in NY. His goal to finish this fight, in my opinion, will happen.

The Dos Equis Guy vs Aloha Hoi

The former champion of Blitzkrieg , Aloha Hoi 28-12, has faced some of the toughest competition in Blitzkrieg. From fighting Simon Williams, Budo Rei, Bubba KillsinWater and even Atilla Leopoldo, Aloha Hoi is a very experienced fighter in Blitzkrieg. He has fought the best. Beaten the best and been beaten by the best. He certainly has nothing to fear going into this matchup. Or does he? The Dos Equis Guy will be his opponent come Saturday night. A few weeks ago I was able to sitdown with the most interesting man in the world and I have to say it was one of my most favorite memories here at MMATYCOON. A fighter who holds no punches is on his quest to becoming the champion of the division. Right now Dos Equis holds a record of 7-3 inside the Blitzkrieg cage and he will want to move that to 8-3 come Saturday. The best part is yet to come. Dos Equis is on a 2 fight win streak knocking out competition: Oscar Amazon and Nigel York. Currently he is the 2nd contender for the title which says how much he has improved. This is his moment!!! If he wins this fight there is no doubt he will have a title shot against Williams or Jobe! Why is this so exciting you may wonder? Well Dos Equis has been in Blitzkrieg just as long as most fighters, including Aloha Hoi, and he has yet earned the right to fight for the title. He is one incredible fighter and its just around the corner but Aloha is still here. Do you want to see if a fighter is really worthy to fight for a title? What you should do is put him against one of the most dangerous men in the entire org and see if he can win. That is exactly what I feel is going on here. Aloha Hoi, is no gate keeper. He is no stepping stone. He is the highest degree Dos Equis has ever fought. Why is this not the main event!? What could go wrong for Dos Equis in this fight? Well Aloha Hoi has yet to be knocked out since Blitzkrieg changed owners. This is a huge problem for Dos Equis seeing that he has knocked out his last two opponents and that’s usually how he wins. Every fighter he has won against he has knocked out. Can he do that to the  33 year old pineapple head? We will have to see. MY PREDICTION: A new number 1 contender will be placed as Dos Equis will knockout Aloha Hoi by the second round. Its going to be insane!

Henry Lucas vs Patrick Jane

I think when Blitzkrieg put this fight card together they were thinking, “Ok what would be the best possible main event? Oh I know, lets put the two fighters with the scariest nicknames against each other…That will draw fans!” Yes, I believe that’s how they sorted this fight out. You have in one corner, the Mentalist Patrick Jane. In the other corner you have The Confession Killer Henry Lucas. Im not to sure id be in the cage with either of those men. Chris Partridges prodigy The Mentalist, is making his long awaited debut here in Blitzkrieg. The fans are absolutely stoked for this one. The 27 year old Canadian is currently ranked 12 in his welterweight division and 99 pound for pound. His opponent the dangerous Henry Lucas is ranked just a point behind him as he is known as the thirteenth best fighter in the welterweight division. Its certainly a good shot for Captain Lous fighter to go ahead and improve on his ranking. Jane, 21-4, has knocked out an impressive amount of his opponents. Its safe to say, if you make it to the judges scorecards against Jane you belong fighting. While Jane is known for his expolisve knockout power his opponent Lucas is more known for taking fights to the judges and earning decision after decision. Its pretty safe to say when you look at this fight from a distance, you might say that Jane will knockout Lucas. Heres the thing about Lucas, He has only suffered a knockout defeat by two of the best welterweights of the division Sam Hall and Peter Tosh. It is possible that Jane can do this too but will it happen is the question. MY PREDITCTION: Patrick Jane. He will knockout Henry Lucas and make his mark on Blitzkrieg like no one has expected. Watch out Sam Hall, there is a new challenger just outside your door.

Closing

Well that’s it fight fans I certainly hope you enjoyed this Preview for Blitzkrieg N.Y. Im certainly rooting for my boy Dos Equis. I added the fight to my spoilers and all already. Let me know what you think about the upcoming fights and possible contenders. Don’t forget to order the upcoming PPV that will be held in Tokyo! Simon Williams will take on Jobe Nkemakolam for the 265lbs title. Also on the card is Budo Rei and Batista Da Silva. Alex Brealey vs Jealous Jarvae. Sean Mcmorrow vs Oscar Amazon and finally the 145lbs title is up for grabs as Angus Young fights Steinar Sting. Well folks may God continue to bless you and those you love!
