EVENT INTRODUCTION: (Voice Over)

ETERNAL RIVALS – where deadly Warriors gather to test their might and walk away with the Ultimate Title and Gladiator’s Pride – welcomes you in Shinjuku Indoor Arena, Tokyo with a an Event Rating of 205.50 this is RIVALS XLVI: Tikkanen V Rutten Post Fight Show.

TRAPP DEATHGRIP: Fans, fighters and managers of Eternal Rivals, welcome to the most anticipated show on Earth (or shall I say, ERRRRth) this is RIVALS XLVI: TIKKANEN V RUTTEN POSTFIGHT SPECIALS! Brought to you by our sponsor, HELL’S KITCHEN LAB CORP. and our boss, Davy Jones. I am Trapp Deathgrip, together with my brother, Shadow Deathgrip.

SHADOW DEATHGRIP: Hello everyone! What an event it has been, we’ve seen dominant new comers taking on seasoned Rivals Warriors, awesome early finishes and a never ending excitement fight after fight! Take a seat and enjoy the show. So, let’s get it started! Starting the night off . . .

Bjornsnurd (4-3) KNOCKED OUT Metro (2-3) in just 0:38 secs!

[WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: For our first fight of the night, Peder Bjornsnurd made a quick knock out job over Jason Metro.

SHADOW: Bjornsurd ended the fight in extreme accuracy, landing shots after shots like it’s all locked up in his target – Metro.

TRAPP: He moved up 4-3 while Metro goes down 2-3. Next we have . . .

Atoshi (8-6) WON VIA TAPOUT against Obake (4-4) in 2:57 of Round Two

[LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Obake entered the octagon looking famished which made him miss a lot of shots, enabling Atoshi to control the game and land a couple of takedowns in the First Round.

SHADOW: It’s good that you come fully prepared with your training come fight night, but as fighters and managers we should also be able to enter the octagon with 100% energy. I’ve experienced overtraining once, and fighting in that situation sucked, I feel like I had been buttered with punches in just 10 secs!

TRAPP: We should be fighting 100 percent physically and mentally. Meanwhile back in the 1st round, Atoshi dominated in every aspect of the game, be it on the ground and even on the clinch, which won him the judges’ nod.

SHADOW: On to second round we go! The round started in clinch instigated by Atoshi , then he worked his way on to the ground from there, and after a missed ankle lock, which Obake thought he managed to get lucky enough to escape, it suddenly transitioned into an Armbar out of nowhere! Obake had no other choice but to tap and Atoshi improves to 8-6.

TRAPP: Atoshi masterfully controlled the ground-game earning himself the SOTN Award.

Jones (8-2) WON VIA REFEREE STOPPAGE over Schilling (5-6) in 2:56 of Round 1

[MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: The Decision-a-tor, Jones, won his first ever TKO-win in Eternal Rivals in a very convincing manner taking out Schilling who is an Eternal Rival Vet.

SHADOW: Not only that, fight stats showed that Schilling weren’t able to do anything in 3 minutes of action!

TRAPP: Jones swiftly took the fight on the ground and was successful mounting Schilling and from then on, bombs after bombs, Schilling got shocked at Jones’ power letting the ref do what fighters hates them to do - stopping the fight and giving you the loss.

SHADOW: Well, at least there was no serious harm done. Post fight interview tells me that Jones wants the Middleweight Crown but he still needs to win more in order to be a worthy contender for Martinez’ belt.

Do (5-2-1) TKO’ed Jacobs (5-2) in less than a minute! (00:57)

[LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Another quick match, Soon Do wanted to take the fight on the mat early on but it was Jacobs who took the fight on the ground and with better grappling skills Do swept Jacobs which ended in mount. And like a possessed demon, Do just unloaded and unloaded until the referee saw enough. Do wins via TKO and improves his record to 5-2-1.

SHADOW: What a quality match these undercards are giving us tonight! All four fights had ended via FINISH! Even further these matches are very evenly matched! Just great, great job by Davy and our Matchmaker!

TRAPP: You’re right brother! These fights makes me want to train even harder and get back to the cage as soon as possible. But enough of that, we’re in the middle of the show, next on the card is . . .

Baldridge (8-3) KNOCKED OUT Rizzo (5-5) in 4:22 of Round 1

[WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Here is another magnificent Finish by a Former Champion, Marcus Baldridge.

SHADOW: Yeah, it seems that wrestlers are dominating the night!

TRAPP: I agree, they have no souls indeed. After taking the fight on the ground, Baldridge seemed like he wasn’t facing a breathing-and-living opponent beneath him. It seems that he made Rizzo a punching bag and he gave him all sorts of GnP – punches, hammerfists, elbows, knees and forearm! And he even topped it off with a brutal knockout just before the round ends!

SHADOW: I wonder what Rizzo thinks now after that beat up. I do hope he will get back on the cage sooner. So let’s move on to our next fight!

Warmaster (5-3) SUBMITTED Son (6-3) in 0:33 of Round 1!

[HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Hayato Warmaster showed that he is back on track again to that Contender form as he finished Chang Sun Son via quick submission.

SHADOW: This fight is like a replay of Atoshi-Obake fight were an ankle lock suddenly transitioned into an Armbar.

TRAPP: That’s why you cannot mess with BJJ Masters on the ground especially if you don’t have the right defensive gear to avoid their slick submission skills.

SHADOW: You, yourself, is the best example of it, I think that’s what you wanted to say, right kiddo?

TRAPP: Well, let’s move on. After losing 4 straight fights, I don’t have that much to brag about. On to our next fight!

Tripp (10-7) KNOCKED OUT Greene (4-2) in 00:05 seconds of the 3rd Round

[HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: The round started with a fiery exchange of fists with Greene coming on top but it was Tripp who drew the first blood cutting Greene after a 3-punch combination.

SHADOW: But Greene didn’t seem unfazed, he continued his stand-up dominance in the round up until Tripp landed a takedown before the 4-minute mark wherein he took a little breather which lasted until the end of the round.

TRAPP: On to the Second round we go! Tripp finally found his range and was connecting better while mixing strikes with takedowns to confuse his opponent on what will be coming next. Tripp landed one takedown and just dominated the round from that point on.

SHADOW: Round Three started and off the hook, just as Greene was swiping shitty vaseline that was fucking his eye, a wild hook came out of nowhere and Greene woke up on the hospital. Thanks to his cornerman for that nice vaseline, I’m sure next time Greene will prefer saliva or goo instead of that vaseline that cost him the fight.

TRAPP: I don’t know if saliva or goo is good, but what I do know is that, I would prefer bleeding than having your suggestions be put on me. I’d rather lose via Cut! Anyway, on to next fight we go!

Bennet (10-1) WON VIA DECISION against Brown (6-1)

[MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Round One started with both fighters swinging early on for the knockout shot, but nothing landed until Bennet decided to take the fight in clinch.

SHADOW: Bennet completely dominated the fight in clinch and when they got separated leg kicks after leg kicks, Brown was mustered with Bennet’s chopping kicks. And just before the round ended, the fight went on clinch again and Bennet’s knees went kissing Brown’s lips!

TRAPP: Second Round, here we go! The round started good for Brown who connected a few significant strikes at range, but Bennet wouldn’t want to take those vicious punches so he took the fight on clinch again. But this time, Brown had adjusted and had a good exchange in the clinch against the better Muay Thai artist, Noah Bennet.

SHADOW: It seems that Bennet’s plan is to keep the fight on clinch and avoid the punching power of Brown. But how long can he keep the fight his way?

TRAPP: That is a good question, when Brown successfully broke the clinch he made Bennet taste his own power. Bennet suffered a cut in the middle of the round and blood was seen coming out of his nose, while for Brown, he was limping a bit going in the third and final round.

SHADOW: This is what Eternal Rivals is known for – Deadly Warriors Testing Their Might.

TRAPP: Indeed. So on to the third round we go, the round started in a failed clinch attempt from Bennet, so they went for it striking in range. Brown threw convincingly strong punches while Bennet landed chopping kicks on the legs and body of Brown.

SHADOW: From this point on we’ve seen a high quality, top class stand-up exchange between two warriors fighting and giving their all on the octagon.

TRAPP: This is by far the biggest test on their career that’s why their giving it all. Meanwhile, Bennet, seeing the fight going his opponent’s way decided to go for a clinch again.

SHADOW: Just when Brown thought that it will be a stand-up at range all through-out, Bennet took control of the fight again and decided to clinch, just pure experience for our Former Champion.

TRAPP: Brown managed to break the clinch though, but he has been very tired, the same as for Bennet too. So, after the clinch break Bennet connected more significant strikes than Brown did, and because of the clinch control, the judges’ gave the third round as well as the first round for Noah Bennet who won via Decision.

SHADOW: This match-up deserves a rematch. It was ‘this’ close for Brown winning that fight and keeping his record unblemished. I’m sure Noah will give the kid another go at it, knowing how good that kid is.

TRAPP: I agree with you, matches as close as this deserves another 15-minute match or even better, a FIVE 3-minute round! Moving on, we are at our Co-Main Event of the Night!

Tikkanen (10-0-1) SUBMITTED Rutten (8-5) in 2:56 of the Second Round

[LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Round One showed Tikkanen’s dominance, be it on the clinch, on the ground or even at range!

SHADOW: This spells trouble for Rutten, but nonetheless he had kept Tikkannen at bay and he didn’t allow him to completely dominate the round as he also connected with a few yet good strikes all around.

TRAPP: We now go to Round Two! The fight started the same way as the First Round started. In clinch, Tikkanen seemed to be the more dominant fighter, but this round Rutten showed aggressiveness looking to change the tide of the game. But Tikkanen got the chance to take Rutten’s back while on the clinch! Enabling him to SUPLEX Rutten down the mat!

SHADOW: Ohhh!!! What a show-off!!! Luckily Rutten didn’t get hurt bad!

TRAPP: I’m not sure if ‘lucky’ is the right word, but what I do know is that Tikkanen had taken Rutten’s back! Things are starting to look ugly for Rutten!!

SHADOW: Oh Snap!!! Rutten is in deep trouble!!!

TRAPP: After four grueling RNC attempts, the last one finally did the job and Rutten had no choice but to tap out or he’ll surely take a nap.

SHADOW: Tikkanen was successful in his debut match and remains undefeated. He will surely be fighting for a shot at the 205 lb Belt which will be defended next Event!

TRAPP: That is a sure must-watch so make sure you will not miss it! And now, we are on our MAIN EVENT!!!!

Abbott (7-2)WON VIA STOPPAGE against Rude (8-5) in 3:58 of Round 3

[HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: For our Main Event!!! This is one of the quick fight notices that had just been decided last couple of days, and with the hype that these two warriors bring, they overtook the event from Tikkanen-Rutten. But Eternal Rivals fans, fighters and managers, don’t worry because this seems to be another stand-up masterpiece from two TOP-CLASS Warriors!

SHADOW: Rick Rude will look to bounce back after losing his belt to Nathan Speed just last week, while Mark Abbott will look to earn his first win as an Eternal Rivals Warrior. So on to the first round we go!!!

TRAPP: The round started with a quick takedown by Abbott, which was quickly switched by Rude who wanted this fight standing up, so he let the referee stand them back up again. And we’re back at striking!

SHADOW: Both fighters showed good striking defense as we saw a lot of misses from both of them, but Rick Rude scored more of the punches that he has thrown which won him the First Round.

TRAPP: Let’s go now to the Second Round! Abbott started tweaking his strategy and decided to go for Rude’s body to wear him down a little. After a few exchanges, Abbott managed to land a takedown and was content to control while improving his position – he’s probably looking to submit Rude.

SHADOW: Nope, you’re wrong. After the referee got bored watching the two working closely on the ground, he decided to stand them back up. And to striking we go!

TRAPP: Another stand-up war was showcased by the two warriors until the round ends. I don’t know if the judges are seeing what I was seeing but I gave that round to Rude who showed more aggressiveness and willingness to finish the fight.

SHADOW: Too bad, you aren’t one of them. So now, we are on our third and final round!!

TRAPP: For the final round, Abbott scored another takedown again, and his corner is telling him to control the fight on the ground in which he had no choice but to oblige.

SHADOW: What? Are they already fighting for decision?? Rude doesn’t want to lose again, especially via decision.

TRAPP: Luckily for Rude, and also for us –audience, the referee stood them back up and we’re back on striking.

SHADOW: After a series of exchange, Abbott shot for another takedown and he managed to advance to full mount right away! This is bad for Rude!

TRAPP: Abbott rained down vicious shots from full mount which made Rude cover up for protection.

SHADOW:  And Abbott continued to rain more shots and the referee had to step in to avoid any more unnecessary damage, and it’s over! Mark Abbott won over Rick Rude!

TRAPP: Rick Rude suffered two straight losses, too bad for him. But I suppose he’ll be coming back more prepared on his next fight. I’m looking forward to cover his next fight again. So, that will be it for our RIVALS XLVI: TIKKANEN V RUTTEN POSTFIGHT SPECIALS.

SHADOW: But we’re not done yet! We would like to invite all of you, to watch ETERNAL RIVALS next event which is a Trilogy this SEPTEMBER 1, RIVALS XLVII: OH V FREAK III. For the LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION of ETERNAL RIVALS!

COMING UP:     RIVALS XLVII: OH V FREAK III September 1, 2012

(Voice Over)

After winning the 205 lb belt on his Debut Fight in RIVALS VII, SIEGFRIED FREAK had successfully defended his belt in three consecutive title defenses – TWO coming via 1st Round KO, and One via 2nd Round TKO – over worthy opponents (Graves, Agullana, and Maeda respectively). The Bully seemed to be dominating the division from that point on, but on his FOURTH TITLE DEFENSE came DONGMIN OH. Freak lost his belt via Split Decision so he asked for a Title Rematch, which he lost again via Cut. And after losing twice in the same opponent, Freak decided to work his way up again. Meanwhile, Dongmin Oh successfully defended his belt against Agullana and Fernandez via Cut, the same way he ended Freak’s Rematch, Oh is now 8-0 and is now on his Fourth Title Defense. But Freak, who went berserk after the losses KO’ed his next opponents, namely Lixa and Montana, both in 1st round in a total span of 3:51 secs. And had been so anxiously vocal in fighting Oh for the third time! He will not be denied, as the two will take on each other on September 1 and for the FIRST TIME IN ETERNAL RIVALS, the event will be held at SAKU DOME, TOKYO! You don’t want to miss this Event! Also on the Event, the 145 lb Title is on the line as Marduk Thorn will defend it against Raul Sanchaz.

For ETERNAL RIVALS – where deadly Warriors gather to test their might and walk away with the Ultimate Title and Gladiator’s Pride – This has been Shadow Deathgrip saying “FIGHT for the right to STAY ALIVE!”
