Welcome to the fight preview of TWD 27 Ferreira vs Gomez as we see the Heavy Weight Belt up for grabs ever talented Champ will give up close to 50 pounds of weight and the chance to spoil his undefeated streak in this sensational event.
265 lbs 5 x 5 Minutes Rounds Antonio Carlos Ferreira (5-0) v Palito Gomez (6-2)
****** 265 lbs title ******
Ferreira may be giving up a huge height and weight difference against the challenger but with challenger Gomez looking to have no way of stopping the takedowns if push comes to shove  and being unmatched on the ground it could be a rude awaking to the lights of the big time.
However showing he has the knock out power to end a fight in seconds if Gomez can manage to land one of his enormous XXXXL hands on the Champ it could be lights out and an upset against the bookies odds. Will Ferreira show the defensive skills to keep his rein alive tune in to find out.
170 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Michael Alves (6-5) v Pedro Costa (6-2)
Showing some erratic form of late Alves has again come off a loss to make it 3 losses from his last 4 fights and will again be tested in a battle that see both men very equally matched. With a slight advantage for Costa in the Wrestling and even more advantage for Alves on the ground it will come down to Costa wanting to keep it up and Alves needing a desperate win and doing everything to get it down and sub Costa. A tall ask when Costa has never been submitted and is the crowd favourite.

185 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Ronaldo Pitbull (7-1) v Maester Ochu (3-1)
Suffering his only loss in their last meeting at TWD Aggression 6 Ochu is back to settle the score against Pitbull. But having spoken too soon someone should have told Ochu not to speak with his mouth full as he may have bitten of more than he can chew with Pitbull performing when it count in the cage and looking for his 7th straight win.
205 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Bo Lo (1-2) v Travon Clayton (5-3)
Both men are in need of seeing a doctor for their depression……you are fights slap yourself and get on with the job. That aside each fighter has his own demons to contend with as they both come of a loss and are looking to get back into form. As Clayton his work cut out with equal comparisons across the board he should look to utilise his Muay Thai advantage if he is to bring about a quick and needed victory.
205 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Deodoro Da Fonseca (0-3) v Ati Kon (5-3)
If the last fighters needed anti-depressants Fonseca may need an Adrenaline shot to try and get him out of his anaphylactic shock, as he is surely allergic to winning. With a horrid start to his young career Fonseca has shown he can loss in every fashion and will again be tested against a more seasoned opponent who by all means should deal another loss to his the unlucky Fonseca.
170 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Lucas Faria (3-5)  v James Lee (0-1)
Faria may be the far more experienced fighter but with Lee coming of his debut fight with a loss and holding his own on paper at least he will be looking to show he is a professional fighter and has the ability to bring it to the cage.
265 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Gabriel Martelli (1-5)  v Eddie Chase (2-1)
Coming into the cage with 5 successive losses, 2 of which are by the way of tap out; Martelli shows that sometime people are just good at training and don’t put it together in the cage. He has the skills to get it the ground and should by all intensive purposes be able to fight while there, but Chase is no slouch on the ground and with great hand is odd on to bounce back after his last loss and hand yet another maybe this is not for you notice to Martelli.
205 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Johnny Sanders (1-0) v Steve Ficken (1-0)
These two young fighters grace the cage to do battle where one man is sure to feel the painful realisation of defeat and where he needs to work on his training. The fight is a splitting of hairs as both has shown they can win, with Ficken being pushed he has the resilience and Sanders showing he can finish it quickly this will be a great fight for two up and coming fighters.

145 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Bruno Almeida (1-2)  v Tim Bradley (1-1)
Both men again have something to prove as they are each coming off losses. But the advantage in wrestling and BJJ going to Bradley Almeida would want to be able to keep the fight standing or his night could end in the Morse code WTF just happened as he is in risk of another submission loss.
265 lbs 3 x 5 Minutes Rounds Slava Smirnov (4-1) v Vitor Belfort (4-5)
Bouncing back from a recent loss with a win Smirnov has corrected his quick KO loss and not only trained hard but has the flair of 3 successive fight bonuses. While his unlucky lamb Belfort has been struggling with 3 straight losses and may well be in for some serious career changing advice from his opponent who looks hell bent on never losing again.
