Ascension 106 PreviewEvent Preview: Ascension 106Ascension 106 - Archer vs Fett
Superfight time in Ascension. As new comer Mason Archer takes on Legendery Middleweight Boba Fett in the 205 Division. Also on the card we have a SHW title fight as the champ Tua takes on his biggest challenge to date in Project Pat. Wade Wilson the Middleweight Champion is also making an appearance taking on #1 contender Calvin Thompson for the strap.
Tyrone Biggums v Yance Sackett Light Heavyweight Fight
New comer Biggums wanted to make an impression when he made his debut in Ascension. Well here is his chance as he takes on former champion Sackett. Biggums is coming off a tough loss to heavyweight Traianus and now looks to make amends by dropping back down and scrapping against one of the best Ascension has to offer. Both men love to stand and trade but both have a great ground game which we could see used here tonight. Both men also pack a punch but i'd give the chin advantage to Sackett. It should be a awesome fight to start off an action packed card here tonight.
Wade Wilson v Calvin Thompson Middleweight Title Fight
Wade Wilson looked awesome in his fight against Diaby and looks to defend his belt against former DBC fighter Thompson. Both guys are action packed fighters who can take the fight to where ever they want. Thompson packs some big power in his hands where Wilson prefers to use punches and kicks to beat down his opponents and finish them in the later rounds. Both guys will be looking to put on a real show here tonight and i expect it to be a fight of the night preformance.
John Jan v Tyler Dignam Heavyweight Fight
A tale of two stories. One man is making his rise again as the other has started to free fall down the rankings. Now both men face off in what is sure to be a KO of the night type of fight. Jan and Dignam both will be doing there all to finish the other. Jan has the better ground game and might want to take it there to protect his chin. Dignam will want to keep it standing and aim one of those big punches to Jans jaw. If either man connects it could be game over. One punch could end it but the question is who will land it?
Fatu Tua v Project Pat Super Heavyweight Fight
Champ Tua has knocked out every opponent he has faced in the cage here at Ascension but tonight is his biggest test to date in Pat. Tua is a heavy handed chin of steel type of guy but hasn't got the skills to match his hiddens. Pat on the other hand has alot of skills but still needs to be tested to see how his hiddens go. Tua for sure will test Pats chin if he connects but the skills of Pat could see him through or will Tua's hiddens shin through? The question will be answered tonight.
Mason Archer vs Boba Fett Superfight
Archer wants to prove he is legit one of the top fighters on the planet and hes got a shot to prove it against one of the best middleweights in the game Fett. Archer has been proving himself to the world of late after his one sided beatdown of the legend that is Jirgoro Kane. He uses his amazing stand up to pepper his opponents inside and outside of the clinch before landing some big shots to put his opponents away. Fett is coming off a huge win in ending the trilogy against Pox. Looking to try to secure the #1 p4p fighter spot a win here should see him one step closer to his goal. Fett has the total package and will look to try to use his ground game against Archer and try pound him out that way. Both men could win this one and it is close. It will depend where the fight takes place and the managers skills.
