Highland Island World 5 - Finale

Highland Island is ready to unveil the finale for this season of the Island.

It has been a tough season on the island with Highland Island being the only organisation to tough it out to the end all in the name of giving passionate Tycooners the most involved experience we can.

We are a results based organisation however over the last three weeks, in the interests of making up for lost time and getting as much done as we could, we have opted for a high frequency approach to get everyone the most action they can..

In the cage at least. Twelve events in eighteen days - that's ~0.7 events per day.

This island season is not what it could have been but we are certainly making the most of it.

In the first matchup of the day we will have Ed Driver fighting against Carl Gustav.  Ed is a dangerous boxer with some vicious highlights to his name. He will be looking to prove himself as he is coming off a loss against Judah as he looked to put himself up to the top of the division but fell short.

I remember Gustav's manager telling me once how Gustav is keen to rumble at any time and as often as possible - this is what I consider a true fighter's attitude. He truly has managed to put in a lot of work, it isn't often you see a fighter getting through 22 fights in one season!

Unfortunately his head has been rocked a little lately and it seems as though his chin might have weakened a little but that doesn't change how much skill and heart this fighter has so don't think that Driver will have an easy day finding the sweet spot on that chin.

Can Gustav outwork the skilful boxing of Driver?

In Uzziah Judah vs Luiz Da Silva we are really showing the depths of our light heavyweight division. This division was stacked. These men have been handpicked to put on a show for you here tonight.

Judah has spent a while competing at the top whereas Da Silva has had plenty of down time since losing to former champion Dong.

Azadshatru Singh facing off against Papa Shango. Singh is an extremely talented striker with spectacular wins against many of the greatest heavyweight fighters on the island both in the ring and the cage. In Shango he will find an opponent who has been a contender in the heavyweight division all season long with wins over many high level fighters. Both men have fought for the heavyweight strap but come up short every time. What we have here is essentially a battle of the chokers, as far as title history goes..because these guys are extremely good. Expect fireworks!

For the first title matchup of the night we have Tyson Suarez taking on Kingsley Babajide for the vacant 145 title. Suarez is on a five fight KO streak with only one of those making it inot the 2nd round, and only just! However he will find a more well-rounded and ground-skilled opponent in Kingsley. They say styles make fights who knows what that means?

At Superheavyweight we have Afonso Cabral taking on Iconic Fuhkup. Cabral is surely a focussed man after losing his title and impressive win streak not too long ago to our top fighter Tommy Thunder. Fuhkup on the other hand has only just risen to prominence through a succession of violent head kick KO's.

At 135 we have the much anticipated Kygo v Sennin for the title. This match has been a long time coming with great communication difficulties between the camps. It must have been that. These two have fought previously, with Sennin coming off victorious, so Kygo is looking to redeem himself and in spectacular fashion I hear! Can Kygo work a gameplan good enough to get Sennin down and.. Out? I can't wait to see, and I'm sure Sennin will not want to be beaten by a previous win. Muten Roshi has taken to social media ranting on about how badly he wants his title back… always good to see the drive that these top fighters have.

In Voljin Ulfzaar we have the former top fighter on the island looking to figure out how he can crack a coconut. Ulfzaar will be looking to make a resurgence with this win as the phenomenon known as Tommy Thundercunt has well and truly knocked him off his throne. Fatu has been in great form lately, most recently he took Nakanishi's O. He will look to continue that form through this fight. This is a more highly-skilled and well-rounded fighter than we usually see at this level on the island. If he can keep Ulfzaar guessing, mix it up, and not get tagged too much early on then this should look to be an interesting battle and I am excited to see how it goes.

Rick James and Hyman Krustofski (that name tho) are looking to prove exactly who deserves to be the welterweight champion here at Highland Island as their last encounter involved a controversial decision going the way of the Hyman. Hyman is a very talented fighter silencing his critics with recent performances.

James has faced most of the top welterweights and middleweights of this island season so that record of four losses is no indication of weakness, instead cast your eyes towards the 12 wins coming by way of knockout in absolute wars against high level opponents. It will be interesting to see if Krustofski can withstand the significant size, experience and power advantage that James appears on paper to have going in to this fight.

Agreeing to this fight after being trespassed from his favourite all-you-can-eat restaurant Alonzo Harris is moving up to 205 from a rather successful run at Middleweight to try himself out against the dominant force that is Polite efficient.

Efficient is  strong man who has revolutionised the clinch game to great impact. Until recently Efficient was on an outstanding run, but, just like with his first loss, he proved that they merely got lucky and that he is truly passionate about being champion. This is the kind of beast who ragdolls grown men in the cage like they're in a gladiator pit with some kind of large animal.

So long as he can control his diet this guy Alonzo reckons he might become the third one to get lucky and take Efficient's belt from him. Hmm, let's wait and see.

…. Tommy 'The Tit' Thundercunt, the number one pound for pound fighter on the island, and probably the scariest man on the Island, if not the planet! This is the man who rose to prominence in dramatic fashion, earning himself a title shot after demolishing all five opponents in first round KO, and then going on to obliterate the previously undefeated and former P4P #1 Voljin Ulfzaar.

And this was no mistake, since then he has destroyed Whittaker and Singh, going on then to truly prove he was the toughest man on the island beating his only real competition  for that role Afonso Cabral and simultaneously unifying the Heavy and Superheavy weight belts.

He will be up against undefeated kickboxing champion turned KO artist in the cage - Boobie Mile Lii. This is no sacrificial lamb, there truly are no other men on the island who are likely to stand more of a chance in front of Thunder letting it fly - this guy has some skill, too. Expect this to be an extremely brutal clash of giants. With a win here Thundercunt would secure his position of #1 P4P for this Island Season and go down in history as perhaps the scariest and most dominant force of nature ever to step foot on the island. But Lii is not going to make it easy for him.

So get in quick to buy your tickets, THEY WILL SELL OUT. But don't worry, if you miss it will be on PPV, definitely one worth purchasing. Remember, streaming fights is illegal… we will find you, and we Tommy Thunder will punch you in the face.

This is set to be truly a great card.

So yeah, see you all there!
