Jay: Mr. Amazingly Amazing here to welcome you to another Ray & Jay's Excellent MMA Adventures. This weeks event, UPF 51: Unnamed, is going to be legit. There are not one but two title fights, two contenders battling for the #1 spot and a few more top competitors. And as you all know sitting next to me is my pops, the incredibly ingenious Ray. So pops what's your favorite fight on this card?

Ray: First I wanna know where that Amazingly Amazing comes from?
Jay: You know pops, I'm just that amazing that one amazing couldn't cut it! (Laughs)
Ray: Ok I was just wondering, I knew it was bullshit but I was just wondering. But as for my favorite on the card, I don't know if it's my favorite but the one I'm most looking forward to is Popper Vs Pounds. Being an ex-wrestler myself, I can't wait to see Pounds pop Bung Poppers bung hole. But let get down to it, let's do something different this week, Jay why don't you start us off with fight one.

Jay: I suppose I could do that. Let's see, Monty Jacoby and Tane Huia start the night off in the welterweight division. Tane is in the midst of a downward spiral, and is currently riding a 4 fight losing streak. He needs a win here desperately. But Jacoby is also riding a losing streak, currently 2. Tane should look to clinch and use his Maui Thai to outscore his opponent and ride to an easy decision victory. But Monty will be looking to keep this one on the outside, where his boxing will come in handy. I don't see Jacoby being held in the clinch though. I feel that Jacoby will thwart the clinch attempts and turn Tane's face into pâté. I see Monty Jacoby scoring a late, third round KO.
Ray: Is there a way to pick both fighters to lose? (Chuckles) I don't think either of these fighters have the skill to finish the other. So it'll most likely be a decision. I don't see either of these fighters winning but I guess someone has to so I'll go with experience. Huia by decision.

Predictions
Jay: Jacoby by KO at 4:59 of round 3.
Ray: Huia by decision.

Ray: Next we have a middleweight matchup between "Cardinal" Luis Cardoza and Thiago Acosta. Acosta is a skilled fighter in the stand up but had run into some bad luck in his first two fights. Cardoza is a skilled ground fighter and will be undoubtedly be trying to take this fight to the mat. He is under new management but the word around the gym is that Cardoza and Mr. Thomas don't see eye to eye and there is a lot of friction there. It will be interesting to see how Cardoza preforms. I think I'm gonna go with Acosta here because of the tension between Cardoza and his manager. Acosta by KO round 2.
Jay: Well let's see, carry the 3. (Draws on the air as if doing a math problem) Yeah, I got it. And pops your way off. By my calculations the fight will end precisely at 3:22 into the third round by way of submission in favor of Cardoza.

Predictions
Ray: Acosta by KO at 2:22 of round 2.
Jay: Cardoza by submission at 3:22 of round 3.

Jay: Next we have two welterweights that have never been finished. Lucien Wolf takes on Jack Stone for 3 scheduled rounds. Wolf holds a distinct advantage in jiu jitsu, so he'll most likely try for the takedown right out the gate. Stone on the other hand has a powerful wrestling background which he uses mostly as anti-wrestling to keep the fight standing, but also uses his wrestling and Maui Thai the utilize the clinch. Either way a finish here will be difficult but I think that Stone has the potential to pull of a TKO victory late in the first round.
Ray: You know it just hit me Jay. I've been in a bad mood for days now but didn't know why, it's because Dwayne Boskins left and I don't have a favorite fighter to root for anymore. As far as this fight is concerned, you're way off base, stone doesn't have a prayer of winning this fight. Wolf will take it to the ground and quickly wrap up a submission. Wolf with a first round submission victory.

Predictions
Jay: Stone by TKO at 4:20 of round 1.
Ray: Wolf by submission at 3:19 of round 1.

Ray: The final fight on this Saturdays undercard will be in the featherweight division as Peter "The Immortal" James goes toe to toe with "The Social Media Icon" Where Yo Girl. Yo Girl's strategy of peppering his opponent with highly accurate strikes with no power behind them has served him well in the past but will not help him this Saturday. James has too much power. After 17 fights I don't see Yo Girl changing his strategy. So I'm going with James here by KO early in round 3.
Jay: I don't know if I can root for a fighter with two first names and comes out the the octagon to Michael Jackson's Beat It. Yo Girl by decision.

Predictions
Ray: James by KO at 0:48 of round 1.
Jay: Yo Girl by decision.

Jay: Iker "Iker" Dedal and Sum Ting Wong is the first fight on the maincard. Did you know that Sum Ting Wong was the first ever bantamweight Maui Thai champion in his hometown of FukU in China. Now he looks to reign supreme knees into Dedal's face. Iker will undoubtedly try his best to remain striking at a distance where he holds a slight advantage. But the clinch of Wong will prove too fatal for Dedal and it'll be lights out in the first.
Ray: Well you're right, Wong does look better, at least on paper anyway. But being a consist winner in MMA takes more than just skill, it takes heart and sometimes a little luck. This is my upset of the week. I believe Lady Luck will be smiling on Iker Dedal. Dedal by decision.

Predictions
Jay: Wong by TKO (knees) at 4:10 of round 1.
Ray: Dedal by decision.

Ray: Bounce back to featherweights and we find our next fight, Craig "Bones" Jones and Bruce Sanders will battle it out for up to 3, 5 minute rounds. I like Sanders stance on campaign finance reform and economic equality, so I'll probably vote for him if he makes it past the primaries.
Jay: Although, we all love Bernie Sanders, it's Bruce Sanders not Bernie. (Laughs) Oh yeah, DON'T VOTE FOR TRUMP! But Yeah that's Bruce pops.
Ray: Yeah I know, just wanted to give Bernie a little shout out. Because I'm "Feeling the Bern." Ok but back to reality, I am going to go with Sanders here. I've used up most of my time so I'll just say Sanders by KO in round 2.
Jay: Man this fight is bananas, b a-n-a-n-a-s. (Chuckles) Yeah I just did that. Anyway, this is gonna be one crazy fight. I expect it to have highlights that are talked about for years to come. Bones Jones is a very exciting fighter who always looks to make a lasting impression, his opponent also is an exciting fighter. Sanders has only allowed one fight to the hands of the sometimes incompetent judges. Jones might look to take this one to the mat where his jiu jitsu should help him. But I don't think he'll be able to keep Sanders down after he gets him there. Sanders will prevail here by KO.

Predictions
Ray: Sanders by KO at 2:51 of round 2.
Jay: Sanders by KO at 3:47 of round 2.

Jay: Coming up next is the UPF's former lightweight champion of the world "The Raven" EA Poe and his challenger Borat WawaWeeeeewaaaa. Poe is looking to get his belt back, while Wawaweeeeewaaaa is looking to prove that his loss to Korek was a fluke and won't happen again. But they have to go through each other before they can try again at Korek. Both men are coming off a loss but Wawaweeeeewaaaa seems to have lost his confidence after his last loss. Poe seems unphased by his loss and because of his confidence coming into this one I'm gonna go with him. Poe by KO in round 2.
Ray: This should be a great fight, these fighters are very evenly matched. I can see this fight going either way. Both are capable of taking the other out. So I'll use the old standard of flipping a coin; heads is Poe and tails is Borat. (Reaches into his pocket and pulls out a quarter and flips it, it comes up tails) tails it is. Borat Wawaweeeeewaaaa by decision.

Predictions
Jay: Poe by KO at 0:59 of round 2.
Ray: Wawaweeeeewaaaa by decision.

Ray: Ok so up next is a light-heavyweight bout between Jake Blade and "Tony" Coke Montana. This is the final fight on the maincard. Blade is a dangerous clinch fighter but can strike at a distance with the best of them. Montana holds the edge on the ground but I don't expect he'll press that advantage here. He has the skills to be a successful clinch fighter but is untested in the clinch. If his clinch fighting is as good as his stats suggest they can be, then Blade will have his hands full. I'm going to choose a wait and see attitude and go with Blade by TKO in round 2.
Jay: I think you and "Tony" had too much of his Coke and your brain is numb. The thing is, Blade will come in swinging for the fences and he will land too. But, Coke Montana will be on so much coke that he won't even know where he is let alone feel the punches. Then he'll come to and once he realizes that he's in a fight he'll be like "say hello to my little friend" and slam his fist into Blades face until he's sleeping because Blade will actually feel the punches. Montana by KO round 2.

Predictions
Ray: Blade by TKO at 1:12 of round 2.
Jay: Montana by KO at 4:01 of round 2.

Jay: Woot! It's time for the first main event on the card. Two men that did the impossible and took Batman's belt. The dangerous AJ "Masters" The Perfectionist steps into the octagon this Saturday to challenge the UPF's undisputed, reigning, defending welterweight champion of the world the incredible Troy "Super" Hooper. As both men were able to best Batman they both are very dangerous fighters. Hooper is currently riding a 6 fight win streak and looks to extend that to 7. Hooper has only been finished once by submission and that was under his old management, he has a new manager now and has seen great success. The Perfectionist has never been finished and has won every fight via T(KO) and looks to keep that true here. Although, this could arguably the toughest fight of his career. But Being trained by Mike Thomas you can never count AJ out and this is MY upset of the month! AJ by KO in round 2.
Ray: Wow you make Bruce Wayne sound like SUPERMAN.
Jay: Nope, even better, BATMAN! Everybody knows Batman can kick SUPERMAN's ass!
Ray: We've used up a lot of time already and I still have a lot to say about the main event so I'm gonna save my time and just say Hooper by TKO round 4.

Predictions
Jay: The Perfectionist by KO at 2:57 of round 2.
Ray: Hooper by TKO at 1:00 of round 4.

Ray: And now for the main event and first time in UPF history that two legendary fighters face each other for the fourth time and all as championship fights. The UPF's former featherweight champion of the world Tanner Pounds challenges, for their fourth fight, the UPF's current reigning, defending, undisputed featherweight champion of the world, the one and only Bung "Wrecktal" Popper. Tanner Pounds is awesome, just AWESOME! In my opinion, he is the best wrestler in Hilo and would probably rank in the top 5 wrestlers worldwide. As far as UPF fighters go, he is the best overall fighter since the Hall of Famer Tony Brown. As of today, Tanner Pounds is officially my new favorite fighter. Unless he gets his "bung popped" this Saturday that is. Just kidding Tanner, you're the man! Pounds by decision.
Jay: Well, Pounds is a hell of a wrestler, I'll give you that. But to assume that he can beat his superior is just crazy thinking. Tanner has amazing wrestling and jiu jitsu when it comes to sparring in the gym but doesn't know to apply those skills within the actual fight. I would be surprised if Tanner was able to outscore Popper. I think Popper can hit that 10 wins in a row and become a UPF Hall of Famer himself. Either way I don't see either fighter ending this one and it'll be in the hands of the judges and I think our champion will get the split decision. He did in two out of their three fights so far.

Predictions
Ray: Pounds by decision.
Jay: Popper by decision.

Jay: Holy shit that was a bunch of amazing fights, and they take place this Saturday at Big Kahunarena in Hilo. Tickets are on sale now for only $50 so make sure you get yours before they sell out. But if you can't get your ticket before they're all gone, don't worry it going be broadcasted on PPV. Man I can't wait, two title fights, several UPF veterans, few up and comers. Overall it's gonna be grand. We might see Popper get one step closer to the UPF's Hall Of Fame! Oh boy, I need a dab. So that's what I'll go do, take a dab. Peace I'm off to take a dab. Yeah a Dab'll do. (Stands up and walks away whistling "The Andy Griffith Show" tune)
Ray: Don't worry Tanner he doesn't know what he's talking about, you got this. Well until next time, I'm Ray, signing off.
