 I wanted to get a post fight interview with Ed Thompson, who recently defeated Jose Guerra at DPEF 19. But instead, he just wanted me to sit down and write down what he had to say. For the record, The opinions of Mr. Thompson does reflect on me, or my views in any way, shape, or form.
"You know I've done a lot of talking going into this fight, and everyone thought I was crazy, but do you think I really care what people say? I'm not one to listen to authority, I do what I want, when I want. I don't wear a white hat, and ride on horses. I'm not rih, and I'm not a snob, and I am damn proud of that. I put my heart on my sleeve, and it shows when I'm in the cage. It showed tonight, when I went in, and beat up Jose. I'll admit he did get a few takedowns on me, I'll give him credit. I thought taking me down is like Murphy MacManus admitting he is a transgender, it's never gonna happen, but it did. But in the end, Jose didn't get the job done. Everyone knew going into this fight that if I won, I was going to call Sliski Stiwout. So I won, then I called Stiwout. I know he was in the crowd tonight, so he can't say he hasn't heard what I had to say. But even though the night's over, I'll call Stiwout more.
Sliski, you saw what i did out there. You know what I'm capable of. Most of all, you knowI can beat you. I know, you could be Ron Jeremy's long lost son, it's likely you was concieved on a banana tree, and you probably have Bieber Fever, It's doesn't matter. I could care less if you were Steven Tyler in a G-String, the point is I'm coming for MY belt. You're holding MY belt, and I will gladly take it back from. Now people are gonna say that Leon Bridges is in the title picture too, but I say no. I mean, his last 3 fights were won by decision. He beat McManus in his last fight. Anybody can beat McManus. So I'm looking past Bridges, because he hasn't shown me any reason he should be the number 1 contender. McManus is not even in my radar anymore, he's not worth trying to fight, he lost two fights, doing the same things, and losing the same way. I rest my case. How's it feel to lose all of the respect everyone had for you, McManus? You stupid ugly, little boy. You're ugly, your mom is ugly, and your cat is ugly too.
Anyway, Stiw I'm coming for you. You better shine that belt real nice. Because once I get my eventual title shot, it's over. Prepare to get the ass-kicking of your life."
So this is all on DPEF Owner, Pat Miletich. Will he give Thompson the title shot that he feels he deserves? If not, How will Thompson respond? Will McManus, or Stiw ever respond to what Thompson is saying? Could Thompson really be the best middleweight in DPEF? Only time will tell
