 Recently I went to talk to Ed Thompson to hear his reaction to Sliski Stiw's title win over Ed Thompson, and if you thought my last interview with him was crazy, wait until you hear what he says next.
KK: So Ed, you know why I'm here, and I'm gonna cut to the chase. How did you feel about Murphy MacManus losing to Sliski Stiw on June 30th?
ET: Well, I was hoping MacManus would win, that way I would kick his ass. But whatever, it happens. I'm not surprised that he lost, he missed a lot of his shots, he let Stiw take him down easily, and he did nothing when had chances to win the fight. He didn't take advantage. It's like he wanted to lose the title. His performance was as bad as Clay Guida's performance against Gray Maynard. I'm glad he lost the belt. He didn't deserve the title, and him losing the title was no surprise. What was a surprise was that Stiw actually used some boxing. Although it wasn't that good, but then again, Murphy Macmanus' head is not that hard to try and punch.
KK: I'm gonna guess you still have animosity towards MacManus. True?
ET: Do Zebras have stripes?
KK: Hahahaha..... No comment. Anyway, How do you feel about the DPEF Middleweight Division, now that Stiw is the champion?
ET: Well, let me say this, Stiw is a good fighter, but I'm better. I know I have a fight against Jose Guerra that is right around the corner, trust me, I am focused on that. But if I do win, I want the next shot at the title. I'm going on record, and saying that if I win, come the post-fight interview, I am gonna call the DPEF Middleweight champ out.
KK: Well, that's a mighty claim. Given that DPEF has recently signed a lot of new Middleweights, some of which has a lot of buzz for themselves. In a division that consist of Stiw, MacManus, Muscle Freak, Victor Silva,& Leon Bridges, are you sure you want to make a claim like that right now?
ET: In all honesty, Why would you honestly put Macmanus in the conversation? He's not that good. And as for the rest of the division? Just like I said about Stiw, the Middleweight division is full of good fighters. But, I am better. I mean, the division has a washed-up fighter named Cael Sanderson. Do I need to go on? Look, I know this is gonna raise eyebrows, but when you have full confidence in yourself, and if you believe you will become champion, you do what it takes to reach that goal. How I do it might be unconventional, but To quote Chael Sonnen, "If you're not willing to go too far, you will never go far enough in life."
KK: Wow! I'm speechless........... Well, I'm pretty much done here. Is there anything you want to say before we sign off?
ET: Nash Smith is overrated, MacManus has no balls, and Anderson Silva is a transgender in a Brazilian Body.
