 Saturday June 16th BFC sold out 3000 tickets for their tenth fight card and boy was it a night to remember.
Heavyweight Bout
Elbrys Gora (7-1) vs. Uster "Killer" Best (8-11)
Round 1:Gora opens up with a quick takedown into guard but doesn't get much off and gets stood back up withen the first minute. Gora then scores another easy takedown into guard but again isnt able to do anything with it so he stands back up and scores with yet another takedown right back into guard. Gora stands up yet again and best comes forward with a powerful jab that cuts Gora right above the brow and Gora easily reaches out and dumps Best on his back and Gora is in guard yet again. Best throws his legs up looking for a few submissions but Gora uses this to move to half guard. From there both fighters are looking to break each others arms but Gora is able to stay on top until the first round comes to an end.
Round 2:Best comes out aggressive and lands a left before shooting for a sloppy takedown and getting countered into the bottom half guard position. Gora is hunting for submissions and Gora then passes into full mount but goes for a quick armbar and gets reversed. Best is now in Gora's guard. Both fighters work for subs from the guard position and the round comes to an end with Best on top.
Round 3: Gora comes out and slams Best very hard but Best manages to soften the blow with his elbow and retain full guard. Gora works to control but cant get much done and the fight gets stood up. Gora then proceeds to slam Best three times withen a minute which really scrambles Best's brain. Gora then uses this time to lock up a tight americana and secure the tap. What a hard fought victory for Gora!
Bantamweight Bout
Dandy Bigglesworth (18-6) vs. Darnell "D-Train" Klutie (22-14)
Round 1:Bigglesworth opens up wild with a devastating three punch combo before moving into the clinch. Both fighters exchange shots before Bigglesworth breaks from the clinch. Klutie then proceeds to come forward and drives through with a takedown into full mount! Klutie lands some decent shots but Bigglesworth regains half guard but not for long because Klutie moves right back into mount but Bigglesworth shows good hips and moves back into half guard. We end the round with Klutie on top.
Round 2: Bigglesworth really opens up in this round. Hes found his range and is landing hard shots. Klutie hasnt done much this round but then lands a head kick out of nowhere bit thats about all he gets off this round. Klutie is getting hit with four punch combos , he looks like a punching bag. Props to Klutie for sticking in there after taking all these shots but he looks very disoriented as he walks to his corner.
Round 3:This round starts out with more of the same Bigglesworth lands a solid shot to the body that hurts Klutie. Klutie then catches Bigglesworth off guard and scores a powerful takedown into half guard. Klutie wants to pass the guard but gets reversed and is now on his back. Bigglesworth is raining down punches but not many are landing. Bigglesworth then decides to stand back up and uses these last two minutes to continue where he left off just teeing off on Klutie with fast and accurate combinations. Bigglesworth looks untouched and Klutie looks like a mess while the fighters await the decision. Bigglesworth wins 30-27.
Super Heavyweight Title Bout
"The Deckie" Serg Ramirez (16-10) vs. Lubomir "Viking" Burqa (13-10)
Round 1:Burqa comes out swinging but cant find his range. Ramirez throws a low kick but it lands in the wrong place and Burqa has five minutes to recover. Burqa is ready after about thirty seconds and were back to business. Burqa then lands a nice combination , perhaps he thinks he has Ramirez's number because he comes forward with some hard punches but gets countered with a hard right hand that cuts Burqa right under the eye. Despite the blood Burqa comes forward and lands a beautiful spinning backfist! Burqa throws out the jab trying to find his range but gets caught with a picture perfect right hand that lands right on the temple and falls flat on his face unconscious Ramirez knows the fight is over and chooses not to follow up , what a classy guy! Ramirez retains his Super Heavyweight title in tremendous fashion!
Co-Main Event
Heavyweight Bout
Tony "Nerves of Steel" Rosholt (10-4) vs. "The Coconut Kid" Malu Munoz(14-8)
Round 1:These fighters both come out and exchange a few shots before Munoz lands a grazing overhand left that cuts Rosholt. Rosholt then uses that olympic wrestling to throw Munoz down and gain side control but after some struggling Munoz manages to kick Rosholt off him. Munoz mixing it up with kicks and punches. Rosholt sitting back looking to land a jab or a cross. Rosholt shoots for the takedown but it gets stuffed. Munoz continues to mix up his attack with kicks and punches high and low. Rosholt sitting back trying to counter but not landing much. Munoz is really active the last minute of the round really putting an exclamation point on the round for the judges.
Round 2:Munoz continues where he left off getting off first with punches and kicks of all varieties. Rosholt targeting the body when he can but hes getting tagged alot. Munoz has had enough of the standup and scores a nice powerful takedown into half guard. Rosholt looks to land some ground and pound but only lands a couple shots. Both fighters look pretty sweaty. Out of nowhere Rosholt secures Munoz's arm and cranks on a kimura forcing Munoz to tap. What a great come from behind victory for Rosholt!
Main Event
Super Heavyweight Bout
"The Cannibal" Hannibal Lecter (14-3) vs. Nikita Krushev (11-8)
Round 1:Both fighters looking to find their range Lecter lands a straight right to the body. Krushev throws out a kick and then comes forward and lands a four punch combination! Lecter moves to the clinch. Lecter uses his dirty boxing to land a couple good headshots before landing a hard shot to the body that looked like it really had Krushev hurt. Lecter then comes over the top with an elbow that lands clean on Krushev's nose leaving a huge gash across it. Lecter starts to tee off woth vicious shots that sends everyone in attendance to their feet. Krushev is taking some hard shots against the cage Lecter then pushes off and lands a sneaky right hook clean on Krushev's jaw . Hes down but not out Lecter swarms causing the ref to stop the fight. Brutal finish here for our main event here at Brutal Fighting Championship!
