Divock "Belgian Beast" Origi

Fighter profile of Divock Origi by Bjorn O'Donnel

First of all, how was the christmas dinner?

It was great to be home with my family and I really enjoyed it.  Sadly enough I couldn't eat the amount of food I normally do as I have a fight this weekend. It's my first title defense, so I have to be focused.

Exactly. Good to see you think like a pro! What do you think of the challenger?

He is a big guy with ferocious power. I'll have to come up with a good plan to make sure that I hit him more and harder than he can hit me. I'm focused to once again put on a great show for the fans. I love giving them what they want and that are brutal KO's. I have the power to end anyone's night anytime I want. I feel very confident in that, but know that my opponent has that type of power as well. I'm prepared to brawl with him and see who comes out on top. This should be a fun one !

Man, I can't wait for this fight!! Seems like it's going to be fireworks!

That's for sure. I don't like just tagging people and seeing the judges decide who danced better. No, I come to fight !

There has been a lot of talk about a fighter of mr. Peel his camp who is eager to fight you. What do you have to say about that?

Who do you say?

Ragnar , the fighter from Peel.

Ah that guy. Lol. He is very determined to prove that he is a top guy, so we'll see. As far as I can see, he seems to be going to EVO for one fight. We'll see how he does. I'll fight whoever the org owner thinks is next after this weekend's fight.

Do you have a message for Ragnar.

Good luck in your next fight, whatever it may be. If you are half as good as you say you are, then we'll be fighting soon enough I think.

That sounds pretty respectfull, not something I was expecting to be honest.

Aah , I've told him multiple times already that he got dominated and finished by a guy I beat in 21 seconds, so I won't keep laughing at him because of it. It's up to him to prove that he is worthy, not up to me.

He has taken aim at your undefeated record and said it means nothing. What do you have to say about that?

Perhaps the only thing that I agree upon with him. I don't really care for my record. I'm just trying to improve as a martial artist. My progress is slow but steady.

Good luck in training Divock and with your first title defense this weekend.

Thanks man. I look forward to try and make a statement once again.
