Hey evenybody, UPF owner Dale Saw here, again, to give you the review for UPF Wednesday Night Fights 4 which took place on Wednesday August 5th, 2015 at the Hard Knocks Arena in Hilo, HI. As always we have Jamie McKenna (26734) to thank go a great card of evenly matched fights. But, before I get any further into the review I'd like to take a second to mention our official sponsors of the UPF, Sportsmanship Ltd. which is now up for sale. So if there are any VIP managers that were thinking about opening a clothing company, now you can get a established company whom is already partnered with a great org. Sportsmanship Ltd. in Montreal has the best and some of the best deals for clothing. So head over for your clothing needs. Now back to UPF WNF 4. 10 fights, 3 (T)KO's, 3 submissions, 4 decisions. 2,842 People sat cageside on Wednesday to watch the epic battles that happened that night. Here are the fights of that night;

UNDERCARD

Middleweight Fight - Akio Kurosaki (260976) vs Goban Declan (269218)

The opening fight of the night was a 15 minute brawl between two Muay Thai fighters. Akio had boxing with a little wrestling to back it up and Declan had wrestling with a little bit of boxing to back it. Akio dominated the first and third rounds and even edged out the win of the second round even though Declan scored with a knockdown.

Winner - Akio Kurosaki (260976) - Decision (Unanimous) - 64% Rating

Welterweight Fight - Carlos "Miho" Jaso (269655) vs Yazhobhash Ixuctu (273800)

Another 15 minute battle. But, this time with two boxers, both with wrestling as well. The fight wasn't the most exciting fight on the card. The fans watched as these two battled everywhere a fight can take place. There were time that they just stood toe to toe and banged it out. Then there were times where they were both in the clinch and battling it out on the cage floor. But, after 15 minutes of brawling Carlos Jaso was the clear victor. Ixuctu did a decent job tonight but Jaco got the better of him this night.

Winner - Carlos "Miho" Jaso (269655) - Decision (Unanimous) - 39% Rating

Middleweight Fight - Caliman "Soldier" Matos (274723) vs Brazilian "Matos" Army (274654)

This is an interesting fight as both fighters are managed by the same person, Soldier Matos. Anyways here we see a stand up vs ground fighters go at it. Matos decided to take the down being the more advanced BJJ fighter. But, Army instantly got back to his feet. About a minute later Matos brought it back to the mat and this time kept him there. After a couple submission attempts Army had no choice but to tap out or go to sleep.

Winner - Caliman "Soldier" Matos (274723) - 3:21 of round 1 - Submission (Arm Triangle) - 48% Rating - Sub of the Night

Bantamweight Fight - Fernando "Fpj" Poe Jr (276345) vs Joe "Killer" Killer (274571)

The final fight on the undercard was the quickest of the undercard bouts. Killer used his Muay Thai and the clinch to score a big KO early in the first.

Winner - Joe "Killer" Killer (274571) - 1:59 of round 1 - TKO (Knee) - 78% Rating

MAINCARD

Heavyweight Fight - Greg "Darkness" Todd (265313) vs Zebaztian Nord (275037)

The first fight on the maincard really showed the strength of Zabaztian Nord. The fight started off with two hits, Nord hit Todd and Todd hit the floor. Then Nord pounced on him like a rabid dog. But it only took one more big elbow from side control and Todd was seeing stars.

Winner - Zebaztian Nord (275037) - 0:22 of round 1 - KO (Strikes) - Fight of the Night

Heavyweight Fight - "The Emperor" Juilius Caesar (273662) vs Owen "The Quaterback" Leidner (272576)

This was your classic roman emperor vs football quarterback fight. You know the norm. Haha. Anyways Ceasar came out strong with a takedown. Once in the ground the football player outside of his comfort zone. It was only a matter of time before the quarterback was tapping out.

Winner - "The Emperor" Juilius Caesar (273662) - 2:28 of round 1 - Submission (Armbar) - 33% Rating

Bantamweight fight - Kari "Lights Out" Tenhunen (265450) vs Waldo Claudiano (264023)

These two battled it out for a brutal 15 minutes. Tenhunen arguably won both the first and second rounds. But, Waldo clearly won the final round. It was a hell of a battle and I personally thought Waldo Claudiano should have got the victory. But you never know ehat the judges are looking for or at. I think that if it had been a 5 round fight Waldo would have received the deserved win. But, Tenhunen got the win and a title shot. If he wins maybe we will see a rematch but for the gold.

Winner - Kari "Lights Out" Tenhunen (265450) - Decision (Unanimous) - 69% Rating

Heavyweight Fight - Sandor "The HellHound" Clegane (275255) vs Bradley "The Architect" Work (275884)

The final fight before the co-main event was not only a KO but also the fastest fight of the entire night. Clegane only needed two punches. First knocked Work on his ass, which Clegane waved him to his feet. and the second put Work to sleep.

Winner - Sandor "The HellHound" Clegane (275255) - 0:05 of round 1 - KO (Punch) - 100% Rating - KO of the Night

CO-MAIN EVENT

Middleweight Fight - Riley "Young Master" Gracie (264372) vs Hector "The Dragon" Monza (275564)

In the co-main event of the evening the young master showed us why he is a dangerous man in the octigon. The bell rings for round one and Riley instantly gets the takedown. After 2/6 successful transitions and two submission attempts Riley secured a victory and a title shot against Mustifiq Rana.

Winner - Riley "Young Master" Gracie (264372) - 1:56 of round 1 - Submission (Guillotine) - 44% Rating

MAIN EVENT

Heavyweight Fight - Alan Donald (274705) vs Elenor Carpenter (266664)

And for the moment that you have all been waiting for the main event of the evening. This fight was as one sided as it gets with Carpenter out classing Donald in every aspect of the game. Carpenter scored multiple takedowns, brutalizing Donald with strikes from the ground before locking on to Donalds knee with a kneebar to solidify the victory.

Winner - Elenor Carpenter (266664) - 4:21 of round 1 - Submission (Kneebar) - 40% Rating

Well folks there you have it. UPF Wednesday Night Fights 4 went down with any flaws. Overall the event had a rating of 83.31, which is decent for the UPF's Wendesday Night Fights. So once again a special thanks goes out to; Jamie McKenna for matchmaking, Nick James for recruiting, Sportsmanship Ltd. for their sponsorships, And most of all to all of the fighters and the great show that they put on for us.
