Height: 154 cm
Weight: 135 Lbs.

Fight Contract: Coyotile Fighting Championship, Rio de Janeiro

Well after a long flight from Las Vegas to Rio to interview another of the Palace of Pain fighters. I find myself sitting in a hotel room wondering what brings a Japanese fighter to Rio to fight under a Canadian manager. Well I guess I will soon find out.

IYF – Mr. Sato it is a pleasure to meet with you and thanks again for making this time available.

Hideo – Please just call me Hideo. My father is Mr. Sato.

IYF – Of course…. Sorry. I have to ask. This came question came to me while sitting in my hotel room last night. What brings a Japanese fighter such as you to Rio to fight under a Canadian manager?

Hideo – I came from Kyoto where I trained for many years. While at an event I was introduced to Prof. Carter by a family friend.  He stayed and watched me compete and afterwards approached me and my family to see if I was will to leave Japan and train and compete globally.

IYF – So why Rio and the Coyotile Fighting Championship?

Hideo – Well being from a traditional Japanese Jujitsu clan. I wanted to test my skills against some great BBJ practitioners and at the time the Coyotile Fighting Championship was the new kid on the block looking for young fighters as that is where I landed.

IYF – Well enough with the small talk. Lets get down to MMA business. I see that at Coyotile 73:Abrams vs Irv you are slated to fight Hi Jin Hee. On paper this looks to be one of your most challenging opponents yet.

Hideo – You are right Rick on paper. Hi Jin Hee is no slouch and is a good grappler. But if I have learned anything from my last fight; Don’t leave it to the judges…. Leave it on the mat. So I have been training hard and have a few new tricks in my bag.

IYF – Well I wasn’t going to bring it up, but since you did. What was that in your last fight? Loss by decision it look like you did even showed up for the fight.

Hideo – Well I was flying high on a three fight win streak, lost my focus and that is what happens.

IYF – Before we go Hideo just one last question. What does the future hold for young Hideo Sato?

Hideo – Victory!
