GAMMA: GAMMA#473 Boyko v France Review

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

On 4 April, 2015, Mentor Corleone (3503) the owner of the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, presented the GAMMA#473 Boyko v France event, for the viewing pleasure of MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at the Wombley Arena in London, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas

This event hosted a Title fight at 170 pounds between Yeshua Immanuel and Marshall Noir for the welterweight Championship. This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 6 knockouts and 3 decisions (1 of them a split decision) and submission. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the bodies. All the back-twisting ear-biting details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=826010

185 lbs fight between "The Hammer" Semmy Kasteel (124259) and Juan "Punch" Tamad (141247)

Quality and quantity was the key to success in this fight. Tamad threw 70 strikes in the standing and landed only 18 of them....maybe because he was so busy from 12 takedown attempts and getting 11 of them stuffed? On the other hand, Kasteel threw 121 punches (no kicks) and landed 53 of them. He also was busy getting clinches (12 attempts and 3 successes). And what did he do with those 3 successful clinches? Not much...he actually threw less strikes than he did trying to get the damn clinch to start with! And neither of the fighters had anything of note to mention regarding the ground war.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Semmy Kasteel!

205 lbs fight between Alfonso Lopez (163648) and Jaako Meritähti (226114)

Can you say "clinch"? Sure you can...Meritähti said clinch...and Lopez agreed..and thats where this fight was fought. First move of the fight was a clinch and they stayed there all of round 1. Both men seemed a bit on the defensive and many of the strikes thrown were nicely defended against from both men. But Lopez seemed a bit more aggressive and likely took that round even tho he was cut by a hook early in the round. Round 2, its not long and its Meritähti with the clinch and Lopez seems to want out of it by getting a takedown but Meritähti is stuffing them. They are both punching and throwing a few elbows...and Meritähti is also trying to land knees, when late in the 2nd round, Lopez breaks clinch and throws the only kick in the fight that lands and knocks Meritähti down. When Meritähti gets to his feet, Lopez lands a single right hand and Meritähti is out cold before he hits the mat. That almost looked like it was planned and set up...nice job Lopez !

Results: After 4:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alfonso Lopez! Guess next time it will be Lopez saying "clinch" eh?

265+ lbs fight between Michael Proctor (187233) and Mark Makers (111282)

Makers landing first and about the time they start sweating, Makers drops Proctor with an uppercut. Makers clinches with Proctor and Proctor is landing better than Makers in the clinch and then Makers lands an elbow and cuts Proctor. All in all its a close fight but late in the round Makers misses with a lunging right hand and Proctor counters with a head kick that drops him to the mat! Makers gets to his feet but he is wobbly and walks right into a perfectly timed right hook from Proctor and goes down hard! He's out cold !!

Results: After 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Proctor!

145 lbs fight between "The Balled Of" Speedy Atkins (175107) and "The Worlds Most Dangerous" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (218431)

al-Baghdadi lands first strike and Adkins clinches, which it turns out he really likes to do (24 attempts with 5 successes) and I can see why...Adkins does real good in the clinch and lands almost half of his strikes while in the clinch as well as mixing in some knees. al-Baghdadi on the other hand seems to do a little better in the standup where he uses kicks more than Adkins. Surprisingly nobody is cut in this fight, but al-Baghdadi is rocked by a some inside punches early in the 3rd round. al-Baghdadi is fighting back but missing and less than a minute later Adkins catches him with 2 right hands and drops him. Adkins mounts and breifly thumps that ass and its over.

Results: After 1:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Speedy Atkins!

185 lbs fight between Hector "Hammerhead" Williams (151289) and Sepp "Sub" Maier (86796)

Maier for a takedown, Williams for the stuff. Three times in 30 seconds...I think Maier want to go to the ground? Hmmm considering he has a black belt in BJJ and 36 of his 45 wins coming by submission...yeah he wants to take it to the ground. BUT...less than a minute and a half he has failed 8 takedown attempts and is breathing heavily when Williams catches him with a nasty right hand and knocks him to the ground...well? thats where he WANTED to go yes? OK OK so then what happened you ask? Well he aint a punk...he gets up...all wobbly and cut...and Williams ends it with a single overhand right and Maier face-plants on the mat!

Results: After 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hector Williams!

185 lbs fight between Charlie "Darkness" Murphy (152460) and "Ill" Illias Illiadis (192937)

Illiadis seems to be interested to get a takedown and is countering Murphys attacks. But late in the round Murphy lands a left-right combo and knocks Illiadis on his butt, however he is unable to put him away before the bell dings. Round 2, Illiadis is trying everything in the book to control position and get Murphy off his feet including attempts to pull guard...but Murphy is a ROCK and its all futile for 3 and 1/2 minutes when Illiadis FINALLY manages to pull guard...but Murphy immediately reverses and is controlling him like an evil little bitch and the referee stands them up just in time for the bell. Round 3, Illiadis manages to take Murphy down a couple times and gets to try some submissions, but Murphy is defending well and keeps standing up. And the fight ends...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Charlie Murphy!

170 lbs fight between "The Brown Norge" Jurmas Uusisto (138062) and "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (159898)

Snuka aint here to hang around and chat...straight to the takedown and immediately working submissions like God is going to take them away... even when Uusisto reverses him, he dont even slow down...eventually Uusisto gets full mount and is throwing GnP and landing. After a minute or so, Uusisto is back in half guard and lands something that has Snuka rocked! And while he is rocked, Uusisto tries to sneak in his own submission! But its round over... Round 2, Snuka looking to clinch and throwing punches and Uusisto trying for a takedown and kicking a bit and suddenly from out of nowhere, Uusisto throws his 1st head-kick...and its OVER ! Holy shit Batman! what was that? Thats twice tonight we have seen a single head-kick drop some sucker...

Results: After 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Jurmas Uusisto!

185 lbs fight between "Vodoo Child" Virgil Keller (178804) and "The Lion Of Matema" Baraka Simengwa (192358)

Simengwa shoots for a takedown and settles for a clinch and then Keller starts throwing strikes and landing some as well. But Simengwa is totally into getting the fight on the ground and he pulls guard and immediately starts working for a submission. Keller is throwing GnP and trying to get into mount position. Keller manages to get into full mount and can u fricken believe it? Keller gets a rear naked choke and Simengwa taps! That was unexpected !

Results: After 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Virgil Keller! Keller was awarded the "Sub of the night" for this performance.

This is a welterweight TITLE fight between the Challenger, Yeshua "I AM" Immanuel (123742) and the Champion, Marshall Noir (112792)

Immanuel trying to land something and Noir counters with a takedown. Noir is working the ground and pound from guard and even tries an arm triangle but Immanuel is defending very well and manages to sweep into a reversal! Noir working for a submission and the round ends. Round 2, Immanuel clinches and Noir pulls guard. Guillotine, triangle, guillotine, triangle, triangle, but the referee gets bored with mutiple failures and stands them up in time for the end of the round. Round 3, Noir again pulling guard but Immanuel pops back up immediately. A couple minutes later Noir with a clinch to pull guard again and gets a couple submission attempts but Immanuel is controlling the position and the time runs out. Round 4, Immanuel misses a punch and Noir gets a counter takedown. Reversals and submission attempts and controlling position...yawn. Round 5, Yawn...

Results: The most interesting part of the fight was the decision...the 3 judges see the fight somewhat differently and score it 48:47/48:47/47:48 in favor of your winner, by split decision... Yeshua Immanuel! Yeshua Immanuel is the new welterweight champion! Well there goes the old theory that to become the Champion u have to substantually BEAT the champion. I myself dont consider a split decision to be a "beating the Champion" standard. HOWEVER...since strange things are happening...This fight was awarded "Fight of the night".

The Main event is a 5-round NON-Title fight at 145 pounds between Timofey "Beast" Boyko (151666) and "The Assassin Reborn" Darwin France (167467)

They came to battle and they brought all the weapons. We saw knees to head and body from both, elbows from Boyko, body kicks and punches from both, head punches and combinations from both, takedowns from France and clinches from Boyko. Ground strikes and submission attempts from France. Quite simply it was an MMA smorgasbord of non-stop action.France was cut from a Boyko elbow in the 3rd minute and rocked by a straight left hand counter punch in the 3rd round. But it wasnt until the last minute of the final round that Boyko deliver the final touch to an exhausted France with a knee and an elbow from the clinch to end the incredible war.

Results: After 3:59 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Timofey Boyko! Boyko received the "KO of the night" award for this performance.

Well it was a wonderful night here at the Wombley Arena with some incredible fights...not that you would expect anything less from the GAMMA organization. See you next time ! GOODBYE !!!
