Lightweight Championship

(Champ) Jimmy Belingon vs. (3.) Afa Sila

DFC Lightweight champion Jimmy "The Silencer Belingon will defend his belt for 2nd time this saturday against former champion Afa "Arm Collector" Sila. Belingon is coming from quick first round TKO win against Jim Jabber in his first title defence. "The Silencer" faces the probably the most dangerous submission artist on the lightweight division, so he probably wants to keep this one on the feet at all cost. This 21-year old undefeated filipino has 2 wins via TKO and 3 via decision so if necessary he is capable of grinding out the soul of his opponent. If Belingon can use his sensational muay thai he is very hard to stop.

Afa Sila got back in the win column against Tonnie Mazloum after back to back losses to former champion Will Genia. Sila is 2-time DFC LW champion with 3 title defences and he is entering in the title fight for the 9th time in his career so he has big experience edge over Belingon. Sila is actually slight favourite going to this fight, but we cant ignore that fact that Sila lost twice to Will Genia and Jimmy Belingon was able to take the belt from Genia. "Arm Collector" will do everything in his power to tear of the arms of the champion. Sila is known for his sick submission game, but people often ignore his sensational boxing skills so don't expect him to get destroyed in stand up. Can Sila become DFC Lightweight champion for the 3rd time?

vacant Featherweight Championship

(1.) Edward Scissorhands vs. (2.) Felicito Vicente

The DFC Featherweight Champion Francesco Torzoni got stripped from his belt earlier this month. Torzoni literally just dissapeared from the MMA scene. According to Destiny FC staff he was contacted multiple times after his latest title defence but still at this date they haven't been able to get contact to him. "It's very strange situation but we can't just keep the division on hold when we don't have any idea when he is coming back or is he coming back even. I hope Francesco is fine, I thought we had good relationship with him." said DFC boss Wessel Error in Destiny 58 pre-fight press conference.

Edward Scissorhands andn Felicito "Frankenstein" Vicente will fight for the title now and the match makes perfect sense because these two are definately the top 2 of division right now. Scissorhands is coming from ultra impressive knockout of the night victory against former champion Edward Flores. Scissorhands fought Torzoni for the belt before that but decision didn't go his way, but now he has chance to get the belt he missed the first time. Scissorhands is very well rounded so I think he is fine where ever the fight takes place, but he usually prefers to stand and bang.

22-year old Scissorhands might be favourite going to this fight against the 20 year old filipino prospect, but Felicito "Frankenstein" Vicente has been very impressive in his short DFC career with his 2 submission wins over Mauricio Jet and Calvin Revengedanger. 3 of 5 wins of his have come via submission so thats probably the area he wants to drag Scissorhands. Vicente is 10 cm taller and that can be vital if he wants to keep Scissorhands striking outside and under control.

Welterweight

(6.) Dean Thomas vs. (13.) Masaru Shimabukuro

Before the title fights welterweights Dean Thomas and Masaru Shimabukuro will collide. The former welterweight champion "Dangerous" Dean Thomas is still undefeated in DFC with 4-0 record. The win over Shimabukuro would take him one step closer to the belt that he never actually lost. Thomas got beautiful first round head kick knock out victory against Julian Eduardo Demaestri in his comeback to DFC. Dean Thomas is expectional muay thai fighter and 9 of his 10 wins have come via KO/TKO, but his opponent this saturday is wonderful muay thai fighter also so both of this guys have very similar strenghts.

Masaru "Lightning" Shimabukuro is entering to DFC cage for the 8th time in his career. So far  Shimabukuro career has gone up and down, but he has huge opportunity to launch himself right in to top of the division by taking out Thomas. Shimabukuro had serious struggles when he was in 3 fight losing streak but in his last fight he was able to snap that and take huge KO victory over Dennis Pegeant.  Shimabukuro needs to get close and inside of defence of Thomas because Thomas will be 13cm taller  and will probably try to keep Shimabukuro outside and pick him apart. "Lightning" Shimabukuro always brings it so don't be suprised if he puts Thomas to sleep. Either way I have a feeling that in this scrap someone will be unconscious before the timer runs out.
