Bantamweight Championship

(Champ) Kenshin Yamamoto vs.  (4.) Mark Bariga

Long time DFC champion Kenshin "Kid" Yamamoto is heading towards his 8th title defence. Kenshin is coming from huge victory over very tough BW Andrew Clark who was actually the favorite going in to that fight.  Yamamoto once again showed us why he has been champion for so long, when he stopped Clark via armbar in just 3 minutes and 20 seconds. Yamamoto has been hot topic around the MMA world and after the victory over Clark he is 21. ranked bantamweight in whole world.

Yamamoto was very confident going in to this fight:

"I just want to dedicate this fight to my family, my fans, my coaches, my team. I had a hard time getting the motivation for this fight as I have beaten my opponent in the past. He is the one who is motivated for this fight, to avenge his loss and beat me, to become a champion. But just like the last fight, I will show him the true heart of a champion and show him he does not have what it takes. I am Kenshin Yamamoto, and I will remain champion."

Mark Bariga faced Yamamoto for the first time in Destiny 31, but Yamamoto got TKO victory in the first round. After that fight Bariga is in 3 fight win streak and all 3 fights ended in the very first round. TKO'd Buhay in 02:42 of the 1st, TKO'd  Menez in 35 seconds and then KOed Van Buren in 36 seconds (KO of the night). There is no question that Bariga deserves this rematch and he still have all the tools to be the champion, but he really needs to find the way to solve the riddle of the champion. Bariga will probably do everything in his power to keep this one on the feet, because on the ground the champion has been just too overwhelming to all of the challengers.

Bariga was also very confident going to this fight:

"I will be the next champ I swear this second chance will not go to waste! I'm the better fighter, I'm younger, I'm destined to be champ. Yamamoto beat me once but that was a long time ago and this fight will be different you can bet on that!"

Lightweight Championship

(Champ) Will Genia vs. (2.) Afa Sila

Will Genia became 4th Lightweight champion in DFC history when he beat Afa Sila in Destiny 43 via unanimous decision. It was 5 round war and was also fight of the night, all the judges scored the fight 49-46 in favor of Genia so there was no controversy. This time around the pressures are on 22-year old australian Genia who is undefeated and perfect 4-0 in DFC. Both of these guys are so well-rounded so its hard to say how this fight gonna play out.

Afa Sila is in the same spot that he was in with Jin Mishima. Jin Mishima took his belt, but in rematch Sila took the belt right back to him. After that bout he faced Genia and lost and now he has again chance to reclaim the belt. So Sila has been through hard times, but it will be more than interesting to see if he can repeat the Mishima case and take the belt right back. Some people got upset that Sila got the rematch right away again, because the first fight was clean victory to Genia.

The DFC president Wessel Error wanted to say his opinion about the fight:

"I honestly was shocked when people questioned the rematch between these two. After all those epic title fights and all things Sila has done to the organization it was no brainer to put him right back in. It's not like he got destroyed by Genia or anything. Genia is really tough guy and if he can beat Sila again it will just raise his popularity among the fans. No matter what the result of this fight gonna be I got mad respect for both of them."

Featherweight

(8.) Frank Benoit vs. (6.) Enrico Matta

Frank Benoit has really collapsed in the rankings after losing his belt. Benoit is won 1 of his last 5 and he really just haven't found the rhytm after that. He is coming from 2 loses to the champ Torzoni and Mauricio Jet. Benoit will fight for the 12th time in DFC cage this saturday, so he is true DFC veteran. "The Tank" really needs to pile up for wins and get his confidence back. Benoit will once again fight a tough guy and he will be slight underdog going to this fight.

Enrico Matta had chance of his life in his last bout when he faced Edward Flores for the title, but the 21-year old italian got TKO'd in 2 mins 43 secs. Matta is looking to start another run for a title and Frank Benoit will be his first block on the road. Matta has advantage on the feet and that's probably where he wants to keep this fight because in the ground Benoit might be lil stronger. Both of them are looking to get back on win column and victory for both of them would be huge to their future. Both of them are big names, Matta being the former top contender and Benoit being the former champ.
