In just a few hours Barbarian Fight Club will have a follow up to their best event that has ever went down in the BFC. Oh how would we love to break that rating but I am not sure if we will be able to do it. This is a loaded event card full of heavyweight fighters but it is highlighted with a welterweight title fight. That’s right we get to see my favorite in action as Christopher “The Wolf” Newton will put his title on the line in a rematch against Chiamaka "Vuvuzela" Congo. There are plenty of other great fights and we will get to all of them for you. Please remember to place your bets on this event at Barbarian Betting which carries all Barbarian Fight Club, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Honor Fighting Champion events.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Ricson "White Tiger" Gracie (4-1) {0-1} versus Muri "African Lion" Loster (1-1) {0-1}

This should be a very interesting fight. Gracie is four and one and he is a wrestling Jiu Jitsu fighter that holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He prefers the ground and pound over the submissions though and all four of his wins have come by TKO. Loster is one and one and just as good of a wrestler as Gracie. Muri does not have the rounded ground game backed by Jiu Jitsu so the ground will not be an option for him. He is a great boxer though so he will have an advantage in the stand up and he should look to keep it there. I don’t think Loster has the knockout power to guarantee this fight doesn’t hit the mat so I am going with Gracie to win by TKO via ground and pound in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Jan Jankowski (4-3) {2-2} versus Mauricio "Mancha" Moura (3-2) {2-1}

Jankowski is coming off a win that brought his record up to four and three. That win came after he suffered back to back losses for the first time in his career. I think we all learned from those two losses that Jan will need to get every fight to the ground in order to have a chance to win, so let’s hope for his sake he has been working on his wrestling and takedowns. He won’t need takedowns that much in this one though as Moura is also a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so he will want this fight on the mat just as much as Jankowski. Moura is the better wrestler so he will have a slight advantage on the ground. Since this fight will take place on the mat and since Moura is the better wrestler I have to pick him to win. These two fighters have combined for seven wins and all of them have been by submission, so I got Moura winning by submission in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Super Heavyweight Fight (265lbs+)

Jonny "Bigboy" Daniels (4-0) {1-0} versus Van Helsing (1-1) {0-0}

Daniels is undefeated and he would love to remain that way. He is currently four and o but only one of those fights took place inside the BFC cage. He has three wins by TKO and one by submission so you can tell he favors his boxing, but he needs to stay away from that if he wants to get the win in this one. He will have an advantage on the ground so I think he should look for some ground and pound. Van Helsing is just twenty years old and he is already a great boxer. He also has been working on his wrestling which will help him keep a stable base and in turn keep the fights standing. It will not be an easy task for him to keep this fight standing so I am going to pick Daniels to win by TKO in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Super Heavyweight Fight (265lbs+)

Kamekona "The Shrimp Truck" Tupuola (3-2) {3-2} versus Chris "Banana" Henderson (5-1) {0-1}

Tupuola is a five fight Barbarian veteran who dropped his first two, but since he has been on a three fight win streak. The twenty six year old has great wrestling and he has some boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He will need to have his wrestling and Jiu Jitsu at full force in this fight. Henderson is a boxing stand out with a five and one record. He was able to start his career off with five straight wins and then signed with Barbarian and he took his first loss. He will look to avenge that loss when he gets his rematch against Tupuloa. I don’t think there has been enough time for Henderson to make the correct adjustments so I will be picking Kamekona Tupuola to win by TKO in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Rocco LeBaron (4-0) {2-0} versus Chin HoKelly (3-3) {3-3}

LeBaron is starting to make a name for himself as he has four wins and zero losses. All four of his wins which do include two in Barbarian Fight Club have come by way of TKO. This twenty year old has great Muay Thai which has helped him get those TKO. It’s not just his Muay Thai though as he is a good boxer and a great wrestler as well. I think he should look for some ground and pound in this one so the wrestling should come into play. HoKelly is three and three and he will have a chance to get his fourth win if LeBaron stands with him. HoKelly has a lot of boxing skill and he will look to put in some work against LeBaron. Rocco is very intelligent though and I see him taking this fight to the ground and pounding Chin out in the first round to get his fifth TKO.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Renan Gracie (5-4) {0-1} versus Brandon "The White Tiger" Loveladdy (4-1) {2-1}

Gracie is for sure one thing and that is not consistent. He is currently five and four and his only Barbarian Fight ended in defeat. He will look to take the fight to the ground and hope he doesn’t get finished. Gracie has struggled with strikers in the past and I haven’t seen anything to say he won’t again. Loveladdy is a great striker with a four and one record. All four of his wins have come by TKO or knockout and that should tell you how good of a striker he is. Brandon is a top notch boxer and a good wrestler so he knows how to stop the takedowns, and more importantly he knows what to do once he is on the ground. I think Loveladdy is way too good for Gracie so I am picking him to win by TKO in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Arthur Curry (3-0) {0-0} versus Duo "Somoa Chicken Salad" Goubo (3-1) {0-0}

Both of these fighters will be making their debut in Barbarian Fight Club. They are coming in with a combined record of six and one. Curry is the undefeated one with a record of three and o. All three of his wins came by way of TKO and they happened in many different ways. Curry is a stand out striker with amazing Muay Thai and great boxing so obviously he will want to use his wrestling to keep the fight standing. Goubo is obviously three and one and he has earned his victories by TKO and decision. His last two wins came by TKO with his decision win coming in his debuting fight. Duo is coming off a loss so he will be looking to turn things around. I think Curry is the better fighter and I got him wining this one by TKO in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Thomas "Netherdie" Dijkman (5-0) {1-0} versus Bastian Mayer (4-0) {1-0}

From two fighters who will be having their first fights in BFC to two fighters that will be having their second fight in BFC. These two warriors have a combined record of nine and o and of course two and o in Barbarian. Dijkman has three TKO’s and two submissions showing that he doesn’t mind using his Muay Thai in the standup or his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on the ground. Mayer is a striker through and through as he has won three of his fights by TKO and the other came by way of decision. If he can keep this fight standing he could give Dijkman a run for his money but if not Thomas will end this fight nice and early. I think Dijkman will get this fight to the ground some way somehow and end the fight by submission in the first round.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Diego Nunes (5-2) {2-2} versus Imperiex Prime (7-4) {2-1}

Nunes is coming off a win in his last fight which brought his record up to five and two. He has earned four of those five wins by TKO and he has proven he can stand and strike or take you down and ground and pound you. He has really balanced his boxing and wrestling and he can use both of them or lean on one depending on his game plan. Prime is much more experienced as he has had eleven fights. He is currently seven and four with all seven of his wins coming by TKO. Prime is also well balanced between boxing and wrestling and unfortunately for Nunes I think Prime is better at both. For that reason I am picking Prime to win by TKO in the first round.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Welterweight Title Fight (170lbs)

Christopher "The Wolf" Newton (4-0-1) {4-0-1} versus Chiamaka "Vuvuzela" Congo (10-1) {4-1}

Now it’s time for what everyone has been waiting for. A chance to see Christopher “The Wolf” Newton back in action is what everyone is paying for. He is currently four o and one and he is the reigning defending Barbarian Fight Club Welterweight Champion. Three of Newton’s wins have come by submission while the other has come by decision. He is only a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but he is so well rounded he can wait for the perfect time to put you on your back and slide into side control to lock in a Kimura. Congo on the other hand is not well rounded. He is a boxer and a wrestler who looks to do one thing and one thing only which is clinch. He will need to press Newton up against the cage and trap him to clinch this time as we all already know that Newton can get the fight to the ground from the open clinch. Congo couldn’t take care of Newton in their last fight and I can’t see how he will be able to in this one. I got Newton winning this fight by submission in the late part of round number one.

This is a lineup that could break the record of the best event we have ever held, but only time will tell if it will. He should know in just a few hours so make sure you see all the great fights. We will see you next time.
